Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Overview

Roxio's Easy VHS to DVD for Mac does just what the title says: it helps you transfer your VHS video to DVD on your Mac. More than just the included capture software, this package also provides you with a capture device, which is comprised of a USB extension cable, and video and audio inputs, including composite video RCA, S-Video mini-DIN, and stereo audio RCA.

To start, you connect your camcorder or VCR to the included capture device, using the RCA cables. You then take the capture device and connect that to your Mac. From there, you capture your video using Roxio's Easy VHS to DVD Capture software and edit your files in iMovie '08 or '09. You can choose to burn you digital files to DVD as well as share them on your portable devices such as an iPod, iPhone, or PSP.

After calling apple support trying to figure out why this isn't working with my new macbook, I was told that this Roxio isn't supported/compatible with Apple's updates Sonoma +. Looking for a return.

I've used Roxio products for years. I've also had the Roxio VHS to DVD (V2D) converter for many years and finally the USB dongle started to get flakey and a side note: it also gets warm. I know that heat and electronics don't mix well. After a several full days to converting tapes, I left the dongle plugged in overnight. In the morning it wasn't talking to me. Here's the catch, all I needed was a new dongle and Roxio Support is Impossible to contact. After a day of wandering around the internet, I went to B&H and got bought a new V2D box which was incompatible with my old V2D software, but no worries I just killed the old V2D and installed the new... all is well. The V2D hardware and software works great, the support is probably great too, if you can get ahold of them. I also use Roxio for burning DVD's and Blu-ray. Again, their products are great.

The Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac would need to connect with an Apple Mac based computer. Once you have it connected it would be able to record to internal or external storage connected to your Mac.

This is a capture device for Mac computers. It cannot send a signal from an iPhone to a television.
