The Impact PowerSync16 DC Radio Slave System is designed for triggering flash units and cameras up to 590' (180m) away indoors, or 200' (60m) outdoors using the included battery-operated transmitter and receiver.

PowerSync16 has 16 digitally coded channels available so you can even work at events with other photographers without flash or radio interference. You can trigger as many flashes or cameras as you like from one transmitter, as long as they're all on the same frequency and have this PowerSync16 DC or optional AC receiver. Flash sync speeds of up to 1/250 second are possible with PowerSync16.

The transmitter operates on one 3V CR2450 battery, and the receiver uses 2x AA batteries (included). Included in the kit are a mini to mini cable, a mini to phono adapter, and a submini to pc cable. Impact offers a selection of other compatible sync cables and camera release cables as well. The PowerSync16 system is not designed to perform in TTL mode with flash units - camera and flash must be set to Manual Mode.

  • Impact PowerSync16 DC Receiver

The Impact PowerSync16 DC Receiver (100-240VAC) is one-half of the PowerSync 16 radio slave system for triggering flash and camera units up to 590' (180 m) away indoors, or 200' (60 m) outdoors using the PowerSync16 Transmitter (available separately).

Impact PS-16-DCK reviews

PowerSync16 DC Radio Slave System is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well rounded set of Triggers! I am new to off camera flash and after checking out the lighting up and shoot website and youtube videos, i was sold. The number one thing that i like about the receiver is the multiple functionality. I am able to use either the hot shoe or the 3.5mm jack to connect my Vivitar 285 and Vivitar 283. Another neat feature is that you can run 2 flashes off one receiver. The way i connected them was one mounted on the hotshoe the other was connected to the same receiver via the 3.5 mm jack, both fired spot on. I know i am pleased with the purchase and would buy this item again and again. Just stay creative and never settle for second best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing but praises for this unit. I shoot portraiture and use these on my studio flashes and sometimes on my Speedlite when on location. I bought my unit over 8 months ago and although I have shot over 8000 frames with it, I have never had a failure. Before that, I had been using a much cheaper brand with very mixed results. They would only sync at 1/60th and even then, they would sometimes fail giving me half exposed frames which is very bad when you just think you made a great shot and look in the display and see a part of the picture in black... If you are a new Strobist with a limited budget and are looking for a trigger, I would urge you to not get the cheapest out there wait a few extra weeks and get this one. This unit will give you the peace of mind of knowing your equipment will not fail. The few extra bucks will be well worth it. And another plus is that it can also be used as a shutter release with an accessory cable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Improvement Over PowerSync10 This is one of the best value-for-the-money triggers in the market. Range is exceptional, getting farther and more reliable triggering than with PocketWizards, indoors and outdoors (must be the 2.4GHz at work). Better construction than Impact's PowerSync10: improved on-off switch, casing, and more compact size. Uses same AA batteries as Canon Speedlites, no need to carry spare AAA batteries like I used to with the PS10. Great improvement in Sync speed, matching Canon's 1/250, almost 2/3 stop gain there (PS10 had a 1/180 limit, but I typically shot at 1/160 for better results). Easy visual set-up for selecting any of 16 channels. Feels more sturdy when connected to speedlite via hotshoe. Nice sleek design. Overall, a great product. My only wish? That it could also control groups and power outputs/ratios remotely on manual flash settings for as many as 3 units or groups and high-speed sync above 1/250.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER TRIGGER I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH INFRARED TRIGGERS I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL BRANDS AND THEY ALL HAVE HAD ONE PROBLEM OR ANOTHER. I BOUGHT THE IMPACT POWER SYNC SYSTEM AND IT HAS WORKED EVERY TIME NO MATTER WHAT THE LIGHT SITUATION I HAVE TWO RECEIVERS AND ONE TRIGGER AND PLAN TO BUY AT LEAST ONE MORE RECEIVER

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product product. Several years ago I had PW triggers and sold them. They were very good for what I was doing at the time. Then it was Youngnuo Triggers. Very temperamental. Tossed them. Fine when they worked which was sometimes. Recently I needed radio triggers. I tried Neewer. It was flakey. I returned it. Then I came upon these. Called B&H a few times and finally pulled the trigger. I'm very glad I did. These units are well built and offer various options for mounting the receiver. And most importantly, they work 100% of the time. No failures. No missed shots. Money very well spent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You will NOT be disappointed If you're looking for something affordable, durable, reliable and dummy-proof; this is for you. I recently purchased this kit for my outdoor shoots and I am beyond satisfied. No matter what stands between the transmitter and receiver, my strobe still goes off, even if it's down the hall in another room (I tested it). The distance covered indoors and outdoors are outstanding and my strobe fired EVERY single time I needed it to. Not mention, they're small and lightweight. This is a really great product and I'm happy with my purchase. I will be buying more receivers in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PowerSynch 16 DC Radio Slave System For the money, it doesn't get better than this. The combo of receiver and transmitter ae easy to use and make it a walk in the park to fire off your big guns in-synch. If you don't want to be a slave to PocketWizard (and the high price) this product is a perfect surrogate. Highly recommend this to any serious photographer.
