Would this stool be suitable for photographing birds while sitting using a tripod? I'm 5"7" tall.
Since it is adjustable from 17 to 30 inches, it should be fine for your height.

How many different heights can it adjust to?
only one height 30 inches. I returned the one I bought because it was to high. I then purchased the small one 45L and I am very happy with my purchase. I am 6 ft tall the 45L in 18 inch high great for a stool. It is easy to carry and very sturdy.
