question

Can I use this controller with a WIRED IR extender/repeater to control a Panasonic AW-UE70 mounted where I do not have line-of-sight access to the sensor on the camera? In other words - does it use a non-standard wavelength or frequency transmission?
Asked by: Paul Y.
Regarding the frequencies - this is a better question for Panasonic and the manufacturer of the IR extender you are planning to use. Chances are that it will work. I have had excellent success with Niles IR repeaters and most every brand of remote that I have used with it (Sony, Samsung, Yamaha, Panasonic, JVC, to name a few) . For a more expensive and very reliable solution I use Universal Remote Control remotes and their MRF 350 RF base station so you don't need line of sight to an IR repeater. I have even used the supplied IR remote of various pieces of gear pointed at a mirror that aims at the equipment to go around a corner in a room and it is very reliable. The distance is a factor...RF is good for typically 50 feet, depending on the wall construction.

question

will the AW-RM50G control a AW-HE60 ?
Asked by: Robert B.
Yes. The only problem I have had is not with the remote, but with the camera. The IR receiver is only on the front of the camera, and my position is behind the camera.
