The B+W 49mm XS-Pro Clear MRC-Nano 007 Filter is a simple, clear filter with a 1x filter factor and is designed to provide general protection for your lens. This optically clear filter does not affect overall image quality while helping to reduce dust, scratches, moisture, and other elements from damaging your lens. To prevent internal ghosting and reflections while providing over 99.8% light transmission, each glass surface includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. The Nano coating associated with XS-Pro filters provides an additional eighth layer over the MRC, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.

B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. This filter features a thin brass filter ring to minimize the potential for vignetting while enhancing durability and jamming prevention. To further reduce the possibility of vignetting while using this filter, the filter ring's outside diameter is slightly larger than the actual thread size. This may prevent the use of some lens manufacturer bayonet hoods.

    49mm XS-Pro Clear MRC-Nano 007 Filter is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful super-clear filter I am not usually a big fan of protective filters for my lens, but I wanted something to protect my x100t lens as it is my grab and go everywhere camera. Now I dont feel so bad if I have to wipe it with my t-shirt while I am out and about. This filter is so crystal clear, even when Im looking at my lens, I cant even tell it is on there. I have taken shots with and without it and my eyes may be bad, but I cant see any difference in the quality of the shots. I use it in conjunction with the lh-x100 lens hood and have not had any issues with extra flare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clear and you can't even see the glass when it is in hands I used it on my E50 f1.8 lens. This filter is awesome and has no effects on color temperature or light deduction. It is also weighted than the other filter because it is made by metal(copper). Cons...yes, it is quite be expensive than the others and even expensive than XS-pro uv mac filter. And there is another con which is it does reflect lights at night and make a light dot. Therefore you'd better take it off at night or at a complex light environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice protection for my lens I've been using B+W on all my lenses and this one was for my Fuji X70. It looks nice and I like how it's slim so it doesn't stick out or make the camera look bulky. Easy to clean and maintain. Best filters for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch filter B&W is typically known by the seasoned photography as a quality filter option. B&W use a study brass ring to hold the glass of the filter and typically use a multi-coating to improve light transmission as light enters the front of the lens. The filter is also resistant to temperature changes that may cause a filter to jam onto the front of the lens due to the brass ring that hold the glass. Many may look for an inexpensive filter option, but what good is that with the expensive lens you just saved long and hard for. Just buy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality lens protection This filter is very thin, high quality, and crystal clear. I've never been disappointed with B+W filters. I put this on my Fujifilm x100T for peace of mind.
