Dot Line DL-0301 reviews

Print Tongs (3 Pack) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from love/hate relationship i like these tongs but sometimes find myself cursing at them. i wish they were a couple of inches shorter so that the tension would be easier to hold. i feel like i have to have old man death grip on them to keep my negative in the grasp. i pick a negative up and too many times it slips right back out into the chemistry. i dont think the issue is with the material and i know the placement of my hand makes a difference, but... also i wish the rubber ends werent so thick. i feel that if they were thinner or sloped to thinner they would scoop the negatives better. but the bamboo is great and they are easy to clean.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unfortunately there are none better These stink as the bamboo immediately begins to slide out of the plastic with every grab. I eventually got tired of the students complaining so I glued them in and so far so good. Although they stink, they are still better than all the other brands I have tried. I buy a package of these every time I try a new type of tong so that when I throw the new failures in the trash, I can go back to the old standby that at least work most of the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good beginner darkroom set I run a high school photography program and buy these every year. I love the different colored handles to color code each section of classes. They have aided in safety by keeping my students hands appropriately out of our baths and the rubber tips help them avoid scratches and creases. My only complaint is how easily the bamboo slides out of the plastic end... you can push them right back in but it is still a constant battle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for prints! found the most perfect just for these tongs; not to worry, I have a spare set! - besides for developing prints, that is. Substitute chopsticks. You read that right. My wife has difficulty using the real deal. These allow her to pick up her sushi with ease! They work great for noodles, too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tip material change Tips are plastic vs. rubber from the old days. If you've used the old style you won't notice much functional change. If these will be your first tongs you'll never notice. Might want to be consistent in solutions used with each color tong. Fixer could possibly soak into bamboo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For the price, I won't complain I use these tongs as they're meant to be used, but I had a hard time getting a proper grip on my paper. It was difficult to scoop the paper between the tips and then squeeze tightly enough to keep the paper from slipping out. I found myself just using my fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for Photos! Besides their intended purpose, these handy tongs are great for another purpose - starter Chopsticks! I'll be buying a set for my wife, until she's ready to graduate to separates.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They're tongs, not that exciting. They're tongs. They're not that exciting, unless they damage your print, which they did not. Ergo, they weren't exciting.
