KanexPro HD100FTCL314 overview

  • 1Description

The 100' High Resolution HDMI Cable from KanexPro is for applications that require high-performance transmission of HDMI digital video and multi-channel audio signals. It features active amplification to prevent dielectric losses or impedance mismatches caused by cable attenuation. It is also designed to compensate for skin effect over long distances. Its built-in signal booster takes its power from the display, eliminating the need for external power. This well-made cable is fully CL3 certified, surpassing any in-wall code requirement for residential or commercial installations.

    KanexPro HD100FTCL314 reviews

High Resolution HDMI Cable (100') is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great, but We've tried a few other solutions for long HDMI runs from our cameras to our ATEM 1 m/e switcher, this cable is the best and easiest. We also have a standalone signal booster from KanexPro that works great as well. the cable is very thick and heavy duty, however, after a few months of use it stopped working. BandH referred us to the manufacturer who agree to replace the cable for us, but lost track in their system and didn't ship it to us in time for us to bring it on location overseas. we are currently trying to coordinated shipping the cable to us. this price is now 25 dollars less than when we bought it, so we may just need to get a second one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality meets price I've used twice, I used connect Canon HF-M41 camcoder (w/ mini HDMI adopter) onto Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E switcher. It works well. But the cable is very heavy because of heavy shields. I'm always afraid if the weight of the cable would break the HDMI port. You need to be extra careful with the weight balance. I do recommend friends with extra care.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! The cable works only in one direction. Make sure you connect it the right way! Also, it has the ability to tune the impedance to maximize the quality of the signal (note, this is typically a go or no go type of tuning - either it works or it doesn't).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly! I used this product to connect my Sony NEX FS700 to a flat panel display in another room in the building for a live feed of an event, and it worked flawlessly. Comes with a pot to tune the impedance of the cable. If you don't see a picture, change the setting until you do. REMEMBER this is a ONE WAY cable! Robust cable with lots of shielding. People have said it is heavy. It is, but not surprisingly so based on the amount of wiring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Couldn't get it to work The star this product is awarded by me is really more of a star for B&H and their incredible customer service. The free expedited shipping was great, the packaging was fine, but the cable simply did not work. I knew it was a directional cable, and when I plugged it in and it didn't send any kind of signal I figured it was backwards. I tried it both ways several times, tried adjusting the booster settings to every possible combination, and it simply did not work. So I sent it back. Thank you B&H for having a great return policy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's exactly what we needed! we needed this to allow us to have two cameras in different locations running the same feed. It arrived quickly. We will continue to us B&H for our A/V needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Capable Cable The cable is plenum rated which is exactly where I put it. Because of the 100' run I felt it necessary to have an in-line booster. The booster is adjustable which can make a slightly noticeable difference in picture quality. The downside to the booster is its size. It is at least twice the size of the cable itself, which makes running the cable through tight places even tighter. This is why I suggest running the cable starting at the TV where the booster is located.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great cable - fat connection head The cable itself does the job and seems well made. The only downside is that thickness of the plug. I was trying to use it to connect directly to a Sony FS7 and because the FS7 input is recessed there was no way the cable was going to fit. I ended up using female to female connector to attach another HDMI that did fit. It all works just not as seamlessly as I'd hoped. The other thing to be aware of is the HDCP compliancy. Obviously that's in place for a good reason but they do limit you if you're a professional videographer simply trying to project onto a monitor for live viewing. I ended up running the cable into my small Odyssey monitor and then out from there. That stripped the HDCP coding so that the newer TV with HDCP 2.2 could then see the signal. Again it all works just not as seamlessly as I would have hoped.
