We have about 20 Manfrotto tripods at a university that use these dinky little things to attach the spreaders, and seriously, every single tripod has broken at least one of these. For what they are, they are ridiculously overpriced and almost seems like they're designed to fail. I have rigged up many of these connections with zip ties and they do the job for a little while. Time to go back to the drawing board, Manfrotto.
