This is an Avenger A2009CB Turtle Base for C-Stand It is constructed of black steel and is designed to fit optional Avenger column risers of various sizes. Its legs are designed to collapse flat for easy storage and transport. It may be used on its own as a very low stand with the addition of an optional stud adapter, such as the E200.

I specifically purchased this so I could fit a bunch of C-stands into an HPRC case for transport and this is perfect for that. Avenger has always been a pretty solid company and this is another great product -- amazing build quality.
All in all, a good C-stand base. As one would expect, it takes a bit of force to move the legs from the folded position to spread them out for use. Frankly, you want the legs to require some force to move into position, as they then stay in the correct position when placed.
