They are not subject to any memory effect so you can charge them up to 500 times whether they are fully or partially drained. They maintain 85% of their charge after one year, and remain functional down to -4°F.

These batteries charged to 80-90% for a few months, then (of course beyond the date I could return them), they started only charging to 50-60%. I only use them for a wireless mouse, so ultimately it's not a huge deal, but I would not want to count on them for an emergency flashlight or any important gear used away from the ability to charge them. Maybe I got a bad batch. I will call Panasonic and hopefully they'll offer compensation.
