Sennheiser HD 620S Reviews

Oddly, most uncomfortable Sennheiser I own.

I own the majority of popular 6XX and 5XX Sennheiser models, all open-back. I was really excited to get the HD620S as I needed something with passive isolation for work. Somehow, I'm the only person in the world that got the most uncomfortable pair that exist. Out of the box, even with that little divet in the headband, these were immediately painful on top of my head. I haven't experienced this with any of the other, seemingly identical models. Not only that, but the clamp force was almost nonexistent, which goes completely against what everyone else has been saying and yet I definitely have a genuine HD620S on my head right now but with very little clamping force. What I ended up needing to do was buy a 3d Printed head strap for these and that completely solved the hot spot issue. There are enough sound reviews for this one out there so it will pretty much be your typical Sennheiser sound. The comfort problems I experienced were bizarre and make it really hard for me to recommend this, but with a strap it's definitely a great set of headphones. Without them, I wouldn't bother.

Finally a Replacement for My HD250 Linear II

Still love my HD250 Linear II, but can't get good sound-blocking with the only available 3rd party pads. The HD620s phones are making me very happy, with great sound and, for me, good fit.
