Think Tank Photo Retrospective 7M Overview

The Retrospective 7M Shoulder Bag from Think Tank Photo stores and protects your DSLR or mirrorless camera with an attached 24-70mm lens, an additional 70-200mm lens, a flash, and accessories. Alternatively, it accommodates a small drone with controller and accessories. Designed to look like a shoulder bag rather than a camera bag for a low profile, it offers dedicated compartments for your camera gear.

Made from durable and water-resistant cotton canvas, it has a large flap with dual turn buckles to keep it securely closed. The interior is lined with nylon and padded with closed-cell foam for protection. The main compartment has padded touch-fastening PE-reinforced dividers for organizing your gear. A large pocket under the flap stores and organizes memory cards, cables, your wallet, keys, and more.

A rear pocket enables quick access to documents, maps, boarding passes, and notebooks. The exterior water bottle accessory pocket collapses and compresses to the bag with the integrated strap for a streamlined profile. A simple webbing rail accommodates modular pouches or a carabineer, so you can further customize the bag to your needs. Carry the Retrospective 7M with the padded removable top handle, or wear it using the adjustable padded shoulder strap. You can also attach it to the handle of a rolling carry-on bag. To further protect your valuable gear, a seam-sealed rain cover is included for wet weather conditions.

Think Tank Photo Retrospective 7M Reviews

Great bag

Quite useful, somewhat modular with Velcro dividers. Thoughtful design, feels robust and quality. Cushy shoulder pad. Only (very) annoying thing is that the rain cover barely/doesn’t fit well. Minus 1 star for that alone.

Think Tank Camera Bag

I received this bag as part of a NIKON Z50 II bundle. What a pleasant surprise! I've had camera bags before that were part of a bundle and they were more of a "throw-it-in-to-get-rid-of-inventory" quality. This bag is a high quality unit. Heavy duty material, stitching, straps, etc. Multiple pockets. No question, it's a quality bag for sure.

What is the difference between the Retrospective ...

What is the difference between the Retrospective 7 V2.0 and the Retrospective 7M?
Asked by: Steve
The 7M version is a B&H-only item with fewer features than the Retro 7. The differences are, 1. Reduced depth by 2.5cm, including Side/bottom panel, side pocket, main flap, and dividers 2. No zippered top cover and slash pocket inside lid flap 3. No handle pass-through on the rear panel. Place TTP logo directly on back pocket. 4. Remove zipper from the back pocket. The back pocket remains but only as a slash pocket (same as Retro 4). 5. No tablet/laptop compartment and TAB from inside the bag.

Asked by: Shuli
The Think Tank Photo Retrospective 7M Shoulder Bag for DSLR/Mirrorless Cameras (Pinestone) does not have a strap or pocket for a tripod. It wouldn't be possible to carry one in this bag unless it is extremely small.
