Viltrox TC-2.0X Z Reviews

I don't use often longer lenses than my 70-200. This converter is perfect. I did some testing and i was surprise to see the quality. Perfect for me. All my pictures were taken on a tripod at F8 or F5.6

Second Review - Update 70-200/70-180 & 180-600

As per my earlier review I have been using this TC on the fantastic Nikon Z400mm f/2.8 TC VR S lens with excellent results. I have now tried it on both my own Z70-200 f/2.8 VR S and my wife’s Z70-180 f/2.8 - with the same superb results. I see no discernible loss of AF speed or accuracy and the IQ/sharpness remains great. No noticeable losses other than light as expected in real-world shooting. The lens also does fit and functions flawlessly on the Z180-600 - not that I intend using it as such but it’s great to know I have the option should there be a dire need for it! (I can often only take the 180-600 and a 24-120 on a safari because of weight restrictions.) Of course the 180-600 plus this TC results in a 1200 f/13 so if you want to or need to use this combination, pray for good light and a super-steady rest! Once again I have no hesitation recommending this TC…which I see B&H have currently at $244! A steal!

Will this work with the Nikon Z 105mm macro lens?
Asked by: Scott
The Viltrox Teleconverter 2.0X (Nikon Z) (B&H# VITC20XZ) is not compatible with the Nikon NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S Macro Lens (Nikon Z) (B&H# NIZ10528) because, among other reasons, that lens does not accept teleconverters -- even Nikon's.

Is this teleconverter will work with FTZ adaptor s

Is this teleconverter will work with FTZ adaptor so I can use my existing F mount lenes on Z6ii ?
Asked by: Pawan
Unfortunately, the Viltrox Teleconverter 2.0X (Nikon Z) will not work with the FTZ adapter. You would need to use an F-mount teleconverter that is compatible with your F lenses and then attach that to the front of the FTZ adapter. The FTZ adapter always has to be in front of the camera. You cannot have a teleconverter between the camera and the FTZ adapter.
