Like other XCD lenses, the XCD 38mm f/2.5 V has an integrated Central Lens Shutter that is capable of shutter speeds up to 1/2000 sec with flash sync at all speeds, and its internal autofocus design can be manually overridden for precise manual focusing control.

This is my favorite focal length for street and general photography, and this gem does not disappoint. it is bright and focuses quickly, and with the X2dII AF is accurate and speedy. It is so quiet that it is difficult, if not impossible, to hear the leaf shutter.

This might be the lens that convinces me that the V range is the series for me. I love the control ring, I love that they all have the same filter size, I love the auto/manual slide - and I love the image quality. Combined with the small size - this is just perfect for me
