best dock I have ever bought. it does what it says and just works for what I want it to do which is work with a Dell XPS and connect a Samsung Odyssey G9 monitor. kinda felt dumb but took me a while to figure out the button on the front turns off the light.

Intermittent disconnections. No video with Microsoft Surface 7 laptop.

I purchased this dock to use with my brand-new Microsoft Surface Pro 7 from work, primarily to take advantage of its 2.5G Ethernet support and my fast home internet connection. Unfortunately, it fell short in almost every way. First, I was never able to get my laptop to display on my monitor through the dock, it simply refused to work, no matter what I tried. Second, despite the advertised 2.5G Ethernet, my speeds consistently landed between 100–300 Mbps, which is no better than my Wi-Fi. For comparison, my desktop machine pulls over 2 Gbps using the exact same cable and network, so the issue is clearly with the dock. But most frustratingly, I experienced frequent, intermittent disconnections that persisted even after repeatedly restarting both the laptop and the dock. I eventually gave up trying to troubleshoot it. I'm returning it and looking for an alternative. It's a shame, because I'm a longtime Anker fan. I've owned several of their USB chargers over the years and have always been happy with them. This dock, however, was a real disappointment and doesn't live up to the quality I've come to expect from the brand.

is it possible to remove the alternative lighting when a TB5 is in use? Is it possible to daysychain t 272U benq displays

The lighting on the Anker Prime 14-in-1 Thunderbolt 5 Docking Station, B&H # ANA83B51A1, can be turned on or off. The BenQ PhotoVue SW272U 27" 4K HDR Monitor, B&H # BESW272U, does not support daisy-chaining, but you can connect two of them to the dock.
