KipperTie Revolva Lens Mount Overview

Mount filters directly on your camera sensor with the Revolva RF to EF-Mount Adapter for RED KOMODO & V-RAPTOR by KipperTie. This lens mount adapter is designed for use with the RED KOMODO or V-RAPTOR camera. The mount is compatible with a separately available ND filter on a four-position rotating filter holder. Slide any quick-change Revolva cartridge filter into this clever adapter.

Secure Mount
A support foot secures the PL mount and has both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads. Lock your lenses in place with the secondary locking ring. Enjoy professional performance with a stainless steel and aluminum construction.
Rear Element Clearance
All lenses designed to the usual EF standard will fit. Unusually deep rear elements, such as on focal length expanders or certain Laowa cine zooms in EF form, may conflict. Please contact KipperTie for more information.

I was looking for a better way to keep my Komodo X useful for run and gun situations. I decided to give this a try based on several recommendations from others and it is very useful. I got both of the filter cartridges with it and it took maybe 20 seconds to figure out the whole thing. It was probably 2 days later when I realized the tick marks on the dial represents each ND stop which makes it even better. I have used it with my Tokina 11-20 with zero vignetting throughout the entire range. Expensive but seriously worth it due to the time you save from using ND's on a matte box and having to change them out.

The KipperTie Revolva Z to PL-Mount ND Filter & Adapter for RED KOMODO/V-RAPTOR comes with the Revolva Cartridge S, which includes Clear, ND 0.6, ND 1.2, and ND 2.1 filter settings.

Can you use this product with a camera cage like the Tilta or XLCS? the ND cartridge looks like it protrudes substantially

Because the cartridge protrudes, the KipperTie Revolva L to PL-Mount Adapter for PYXIS 12K & 6K is not compatible with many cages.

The KipperTie Revolva L to PL-Mount Adapter for PYXIS 12K & 6K cannot be used with the Panasonic LUMIX S1 II Mirrorless Camera. There isn't enough clearance for the KipperTie Revolva Geared ND Filter Cartridges.

The Angenienx EZ zooms should generally work with the KipperTie Revolva RF to PL-Mount Adapter for RED KOMODO/V-RAPTOR, but because Revolva systems can have rear-element clearance conflicts with some PL lenses, we recommend confirming this with KipperTie or doing a quick fit test before your shoot.
