Works great with the Nikon 24-120 and some viltrox lenses I have

While the packaging and appearance of the adapter were quite impressive, I found that when attaching my DX lens to the adapter there was a horrible and distinct metal on metal scraping sound, not good. However, the worst part was the Z mount simply would not attach to my camera at all. I aligned the dots and the adapter 'dropped into place' but would not turn, not even a mm, to complete the attachment. Again, not good. I returned this within 30 minutes of receiving it.

Does this adapter work fully with AF-P and E type lenses? I am planning to use it with Nikon AF-P DX 10-20mm lens.

Is there a published list of lenses that are compatible, or general guidelines on which lens types are compatible? Thanks

Viltrox does not have a list of compatible lenses on the Viltrox Nikon F-Mount Lens to Z-Mount Camera Adapter. They just say that it works like the Nikon brand and those lenses need to be: AF-S Type G, E, and D; AF-P Type G and E; AF-I Type D: full support of autofocus, MF (with electronic rangefinder support), full auto-exposure modes, and exposure metering.

There are many different types of non-AI lenses, and some can cause a problem when connecting to the Viltrox Nikon F-Mount Lens to Z-Mount Camera Adapter. The only way to know for certain is to try it out. If it does not fit, you can return the adapter.

Lumix G9 has a micro four thirds mount, not Z mount, so Viltrox Nikon F-Mount Lens to Z-Mount Camera Adapter is not compatible with the Lumix G9.

Viltrox Nikon F-Mount Lens to Z-Mount Camera Adapter is fully compatible with Nikon Z9 mirrorless camera. Viltrox release it's firmware version 1.21 on May 29, 2023 to correct compatibility problems with NIkon ZFC and Z30 mirrorless cameras.

No, a Nikon Z teleconverter is only compatible with Z-mount lenses, not F-mount lenses like the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4E FL ED VR Lens.
