DJI Osmo Nano Overview

Capture stunning POV action shots with the Osmo Nano Standard Combo from DJI. This ultracompact POV camera features a modular two-piece design that allows you to attach the camera module onto clothing, bags, or straps using lightweight or magnetic mounting accessories to capture up to 4K60 video onto its 128GB onboard storage. The camera can be previewed and remotely controlled using the docking unit, which wirelessly connects to the camera and features a touchscreen display, microSD storage, and a camera fast-charging dock.
Next-Gen 1/1.3" Sensor
The Nano is equipped with a new 1/1.3" sensor and a high-performance image processor that offers up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range to capture visuals on par with professional cameras.

This powerful imaging performance delivers crisp, detailed shots in both low light and bright sunlight effortlessly.

Modular Camera Design
The design is made up of a camera module and the Multifunctional Vision Dock that work together to create a highly mobile video capture process.

The camera features a magnetic front and back, allowing it to mount onto a variety of accessories, and it can mount onto the Vision Dock for charging.

Ultrawide Field of View
Whether you're capturing action, sports, travel, landscapes, or everyday highlights, the 143° ultrawide field of view helps you fit more into every frame.
Stunning Color Performance
Effortlessly capture over a billion colors with stunning detail in both highlights and shadows using the camera's 10-bit and D-Log M color profiles.

Whether shooting in high dynamic range or complex color environments, the Osmo Nano preserves rich color and brightness information to add flexibility to your editing workflow.

Multifunctional Vision Dock
The dock features a bright 1.96" OLED touchscreen that allows you to wirelessly connect to the camera for control, configuration, and image preview.
Recording Modes
The camera features two recording modes, which add a variety of features:

  • Pre-Recording: When enabled, the camera can pre-record footage within the set time duration
  • Loop Recording: The camera can record video by overwriting older footage within set time intervals to save storage space
  • Auto Recording: set shooting intervals and clip durations for automatic recording, while DJI Mimo helps you create standout videos
  • Nod/Pat Recording: Start shooting with nodding/patting gestures in auto recording mode
  • Effortlessly switch between horizontal and vertical shooting for flexible composition
SuperNight Mode
In low-light conditions, the Osmo Nano's SuperNight mode enhances image quality with noise reduction algorithms.
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS)
Whether you're capturing POV footage of skiing, running, biking, surfing, or skydiving, the Nano can record smooth, shake-free images with built-in electronic image stabilization. Settings include:

  • Off: Records the video with the largest FOV
  • RockSteady: Stabilizes footage while retaining the dynamics of movement, which is suitable for shooting sports scenes
  • HorizonBalancing: Eliminates image shakes within ±30° to keep the footage horizontally stable, which is suitable for first-person perspective shooting
Power
The Vision Dock provides a USB-C port that connects to an optional power source to charge its own 1300mAh battery. The camera features a 530mAh battery and docks onto the top of the dock for charging. The fast-charging feature can charge the camera module to 80% in only 20 minutes.

The dock can provide up to 200 minutes of runtime to the camera when it's docked and recording 1080p, and the camera can operate on its own for up to 90 minutes with up to 1080p video capture.

Content Transfer
The Osmo Nano features a high-speed USB 3.1 port to connect to mobile devices or computers using a PD fast-charging cable for lightning-fast transfers up to 600 MB/s. You can also enjoy wireless export speeds of up to 80 MB/s, allowing you to quickly transfer your footage to your smartphone or other mobile devices.

The Multifunctional Vision Dock also includes a built-in microSD card slot for quick footage export with a single tap.

NOTE: The camera cannot record directly to the microSD card slot on the Vision Dock.

Waterproof Design
The camera is waterproof up to 32.8' without any additional housing, making it ideal for underwater shooting.

When paired with the Multifunctional Vision Dock, it offers IPX4-rated splash resistance, protecting against sweat, rain, and minor splashes.

Audio Recording
The compact camera body features dual built-in microphones for stereo recording, delivering clear, vivid audio for an immersive first-person audiovisual experience.

Optional accessories include the ability to connect two DJI OsmoAudio wireless microphone transmitters for simultaneous use, which can be helpful when recording a two-person interview.

Accessory Options
The camera can be mounted using its magnetic design onto the included magnetic hat clip or magnetic lanyard for body mounting, or you can mount it onto the magnetic ball head adapter with a suction cup for optional mounting onto glass or flat surfaces. The included protective case surrounds the camera without blocking its microphone ports or controls to ensure the camera is safe from dings and scratches.

There are also the separately available magnetic headband and chest strap that provide a variety of POV shots, and an optional ND filter set provides light-blocking options.

App Compatibility
The camera is compatible with the DJI Mimo app that provides control over the camera's operation and settings, and it can also provide editing features, glamour effects, templates, sound effects, auto-highlights, live photos, pro filters, and transitions to create professional-looking videos and photos.

Compatibility also includes interaction with sports/activity dashboards to sync data with your Apple Watch, Garmin, Magene, iGPSPORT, Suunto, or COROS products, or you can import third-party FIT files.

DJI Nano NOT WATERPROOF. Buyer beware!

The Nano camera system is NOT waterproof as advertised. I purchased one back in November of 2025 and used it underwater in Curacao for 6 days and when I returned home at the end of December used it some more for around a week while biking. The camera succumbed to the salt water, even though I dryed it after every use. Around 14 days of use and the camera stopped working. Again, it's not waterproof like they said. I used it in 4 to 10 feet of water and it failed. My GoPro Hero 7 was more reliable then this camera. If you must purchase get a waterproof case to wrap around it. The way it is designed lets water seep into it.

Is this camera suitable for use atop a conventional mirrorless camera to video record (for example) an airshow while stills are being taken with the mirrorless?

Yes, you could mount the DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (128GB) on a camera's hot shoe to record video while taking photos with a mirrorless camera. To do this with the DJI Osmo Nano, you could use the SmallRig Camera Module Cage with Cold Shoe Mount for DJI Osmo Nano, B&H # SM5758.

The DJI Mimo app is needed in order to activate the DJI Osmo Nano Standard Combo (128GB) for the first time. However, after activation, basic functionality can be done without the app.

Is it able to connect with DJI wireless mic I for recording sound into the footage?

Dear Customer, Thank you for your question. Here is some clarification regarding wireless microphone support on Osmo Nano. Osmo Nano does support wireless microphone connections. However, it does not support DJI Mic (first generation), as the transmitter (TX) of DJI Mic 1 does not support Bluetooth linking. At present, Osmo Nano can connect directly with the transmitters (TX) of DJI Mic 2, DJI Mic Mini, and DJI Mic 3 for audio recording. Connection via a receiver (RX) is not supported.
