M-7 Thread Adapter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use a Lighting Stand as a Mic Holder If you want to use any standard lighting stand as a mic or stereo mic bar / holder, you need this... It will change the 1/4-20 male threaded head of mount to 5/8-27 male American mic thread... With the cost of dedicated mic masts going into the hundreds of dollars, this can save you a ton of money, and it works great... For smaller pencil mics, all you need is a light duty lighting stand... For larger mics or pairs of larger mics, go with a heavier duty lighting stand... Believe me, lots of recording engineers do this... It's a great money-saving tip!... (m.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No one else sold it! I needed an adapter to go from a small tripod with a camera mount to my standard mic clip. after several phone calls locally, I finally had the correct details for a web search, which was now necessary because no one locally heard of such an adapter. But B&H had them and many more. I'll check her first next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect solution in a pinch I have numerous Camera tripods and wanted to make sure the 3 grand-kids each got a mike stand. Perfectly converts a normal tripod to hold a mike with normal mike stand clip. Would be fine for room recording since tripods are study. It's a just in case item and worked as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Advertising - Works as advertised I use this product to change a 13 foot light stand in to a mic stand. It works perfectly. The threading is great and can be easily manipulated with the use of a quarter. This is the key to having a super tall mic stand with out spending too much money on overpriced stands.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine, but poor build quality. Use this for putting a mic boom arm on a standard camera tripod. It does the job but has been shedding metal shavings throughout use -- so at the end of the day it looks like the tripod head is covered in glitter. Would be good if that didn't happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the ticket for adapter needs While a very simple product for matching the 5/8 female thread on a microphone clamp to a 1/4 tripod male thread, I searched the internet for a supplier. I should not have been surprised that the only supplier that I could find that had it was B&H.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job at a fairly reasonable pric I use this product to put microphone clips/mounts on a hot shoe tree. Also good at turning light stands into mic stands by converting the 1/4 thread to 5/8. Couldn't hurt to be a bit cheaper

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Double duty for my camera tripods This is made from strong durable metal and allows me to use my camera tripod as a mic stand on the road. I even use it with those mini tripods for compact setup of my stereo mics.
