The TP-Link TL-WR841N Wireless N Router provides wired and wireless network connection with a 4-port switch that allows wireless access to multiple devices in your home without running unsightly wires.

The TL-WR841N is backward compatible with 802.11b and g and thanks to Align technology from Atheros Communications Inc., is forward compatible with higher-performance, multi-stream, MIMO-based 802.11n which offers an impressive 300Mbps at a very reasonable price. Besides high speed, 802.11n gives you great performance even at long distances, as well as an SPI firewall to prevent your network from being compromised. Other security features include SSID broadcast control, MAC address access control, WEP encryption, WPA/WPA2, and WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK authentication. It has dual external antennas to enhance transmission rates and coverage while CAA technology prevents channel conflicts.

Besides home use, the TL-WR841N is a great choice for businesses since it offers priority, support and stability to large bandwidth-consuming applications which are subject to interruptions, like voice and video.

    TL-WR841N Wireless N Router is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay WHEN/IF it Works I work from home and when my cable provider's hardware was being inconsistent and requiring daily restarts I decided to purchase my own modem and router. I paired the TL-WR841N router from TP-Link with the Motorola Surfboard. The modem is performing nicely however, this router is requiring a restart approximately once per week. While I guess that is 7 times better than cable company provided hardware it is still disappointing. :( When it works this router provides good high speed wireless connection. I usually have 3-4 devices accessing it at a time with only one or two actively using the signal at once. (Laptop, cell phone, tablet) Due to the inconsistency I would NOT recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Easy to set up but some range issues The router works fine and seems to deliver the promised speed. However, I was much more hopeful regarding the range. My previous router was G and I got the same wifi signal strength as the one I get from this model. I live in a 900 sq ft apartment, quite long and thin in layout and the router is about 70 ft away from the room where I get the weakest signal. That shouldn't be a big deal for an N router, however, I will need to install a powerline extender, otherwise I will not get a decent signal everywhere. Expected a little more, but it's okay for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best router on the market I installed a wifi for a client who had already purchased this same router. I could not believe that it set up in about 3 minutes. I then went to do a speed test on this router and the speed came back at 28mbps. I could not believe the speed I was getting for this client. I rushed home and ordsered this same route for myself. Again it set up in about 3 minutes an, Yes I am getting incredible speed as well. Comcast is my ISP. I have 6 different pc's/smartphones on this router and we are all getting blazing sppeds as well. I had the newer NetGear router at first and was getting 8 to 12 mbps out of that router. Since I switched to this TP Link router I consistently am getting 28 to 28mbps now. Get em' while they are stilkl available!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from TP-Link TL-WR841N Wireless Lite N Router Set up using the cd, mainly because I like to see how well/easy they can make it. I have set up 3 wireless routers previously, so I really did not need to. Enclosed setup cd worked very well and it would have been perfect connecting to a new network. It's a bit more work if you already have one established though. I was experiencing lags while streaming netflix using my former router, but now I have practically none. I am quite satisfied with the device, and the price! B&H Photo/Video delivered quickly and it was well packaged!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and very affordable A snap to set up, very fast and incredibly affordable. Got one for my mom after seeing lots of good reviews, was a bit skeptical because was so inexpensive (for router with two external antennae) but it performed flawlessly. Charter installer expressed surprise at speed it delivered (with their modem). Because of this I got this router and a Surfboard 6141 for my own Comcast service and this combo delivers consistently faster speed wirelessly (up to 30 mpbs) than the comcast gateway had (24 mbps). A real bargain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from a nice router A decent router for the price! Needs firmware upgrade out-of-the-box, the factory firmware has stability issues. Also the TP-Link firmware has no Access Point/Bridging mode. But the antenna power is good, the range is good, the TL-WR1043 is probably the next best model up the chain for more radio output power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small issue setting up but great Product There was a small issue setting up the router matching the settings of my computer with the router but easily solved with calling the customer service number. After that it's been smooth sailing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Router. Easy installation 123 plus strong signal. Feels like my computer is faster now. TP link router is good. Let's see how long it last though.
