Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save The cameras port! This is a great little product. The price seems a little high for what it is but it works! I shoot tethered in my studio for portraits and product shots. Even though I use a bright orange 15' tether cord I still kick it stand on it and pull it getting my tripod in position. I believe I might have already damaged my camera's port so I built something out of wire so the pull would be on the cameras strap connection and not the connection point. My deal was unsightly, and cumbersome. and i had to undo it every day. it worked but not well. The jerk stopper works so much better than my rig. It holds the cable 98% out of 100. With an almost perfect angle to my cameras port. my design was maybe a 80%. And I would wiggle it free or loose connection. If you shoot tethered get this. It's cheap compared to a new tether cord or sending your camera out for repair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get it Used for studio or event photography when shooting tethered.SImple design and easy to use.One end attaches to camera by a thin cord and is attached to the cable clamp end by a snap lock. Cables attach securely to the adjustable connector and allows slack to the camera port.Already its saved my camera a few times as i stepped on the cable whilst shooting. Can shoot tetherd by hand with more confidence as well now.I got it after i stepped on the tether cable of my old 5d2...and broke the connection. The entire internal circuit board had to be replaced as its all one piece. Cost me around $400 to repair.Found this by accident and will never thether without it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have if you are tethered! We have to shoot tethered in the studio. We had one HDMI connector that was so heavy it kept falling out and eventually ruined the board on my Canon 5D. This cost over $700 to fix. Got the right HDMI connector and this JerkStopper! Wow! What a difference. I ordered a couple of them for another camera as well. I would give this product ten stars, it is a must have for anyone who shoots tethered. Thank you Tether Tools and the price is right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just get one ! So... I bought this AFTER I needed it. Don't wait until it is too late ! Someone tripped on my tether cord and JERKED the cord from my DSLR's port. Now it will not make a firm connection and costs $375 to fix. Yes there is the argument to be made that tripping on the camera with the jerk-stopper could have caused more damage to camera and lens. Overall using a tether without a jerk-stopper will compromise the camera port. The weight of the cord and constant pressure from opposing angles as you move around will cause a loose connection over a short period of time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Should be better The cable gripping end of this relies on a crude friction system that is nearly impossible to get tight on a USB cable. Once pressed hard enough to grip the cable, it only takes a few months before the plastic beings to bend out from the pressure to a point where it really can't grip reliably at all anymore. Ultimately, presumably from the fatigue on the plastic, mine just split one day after what was a pretty routine tug in a studio environment. I'd pay more for better materials, but as it is, I'm going back to gaffer tape until they fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This item works great This item holds your cable in place so there is no downward pull at the connection, keeping it tight so the cable doesn't pull out. It also will keep the fitting in good repair so it won't become loose in the future. Every camera should have one...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! We use this to prevent accidentally pulling out a TetherPro USB cord. It works great! it is a bit pricey for what it is, but it's easy to set up and use, fairly small, and gets the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish I had this sooner I've had my eye on this for the last year and I decided to buy it with the purchase of a new camera. Money well spent! 99% of my work is tethered, so this is life saver.
