    Sony QDAEX1/SC1 reviews

XQD ExpressCard Adapter is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allows XQD cards to be used like SxS Great product at a reasonable price, this adapter allows XQD cards to be used in place of SxS cards in professional camcorders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great with G Series cards for best results These work great with the Sony G Series XQD cards, as an affordable alternative to Sony Pro, and Pro+ SxS cards. Make sure you get G series XQD cards, for fastest data throughput. Be sure that all your equipment has their latest drivers and firmware. I have been using these adapters in my Sony F5 with no problems for the last couple of years. This is my third one. Now I have an adapter for each of my cards. I think I used them once, in the Sony USB 3.0 SxS card adapter that came with the camera. I don't recall any problems. Not sure how fast the data speed was. I have downloaded F5 footage using the ExpressCard slot in my late 2011 MBP, using Shotput. Again, no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I use this with my 2010 Mac Book pro which is slow to ingest my XQD Fs7 video thru USB 2.0. With the Expresscard adapter the ingest time was cut in half. Really ,in half, it took 33 GB 7 min to ingest. Thru the USB 2 port, 14 min. I'm not disappointed and would recommend to all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not compatible with Non-SONY XQD card Totally disappointed with this product; I use Lexar XQD 32 GB card; when mounted on this express card adapter, my MAC BOOK PRO (running on mountain lion OX) did not recognise the card at all; Not only that, afterwards, my Lexar XQD card became non usable in my D4; I had to re-formatt the card in the D4 and then it is now working fine. .... I am not sure how this adapter will behave with SONY XQD card... I haven't tried .... totally waste of money. NO, I do not reccomend this to anybody.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but not Great ! I really like this adapter , I can supplement my SXS cards with my QXD s card for a long shoot . Price was cheaper than I paid for the sd card adapter but the downside is I can only use 64 GIG QXD cards won't handle 128 GIG cards when using in my Sony PXW - X400 , shooting in XAVC 1 codex . The larger files gobble up the gigs . The QXD cards are a third the price of SXS otherwise I would rate the adapter a 5 star

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable and fast Does pretty much what it is supposed to do. I use my USB Sony XQD card reader that came with my D4 at home on my desktop. I bought this ExpressCard adapter for my laptop at the office. I have not run them head-head to see if there is a speed difference, but i can say that this ExpressCard adapter seemed just as fast. It worked flawlessly with my Thinkpad. There was no storage case for this adapter, which would have been nice to store in my laptop case, but it seems sturdy enough to hold up in the long run.
