    Think Tank Photo 740970 Reviews

8 AA Battery Holder (Black with Green Trim) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 122.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointed Maybe I'm just hard to please but, from the photo, I anticipated that each battery would be held in it's own sleeve, like a bandolier holds bullets. There are just two pockets that hold the batteries, four per pocket, quite securely when full but much less so as you remove batteries ... the remaining batteries tending to go diagonal. Better than the Ziploc snack bags I've been using for AAs but not by much. Cost nudges it into the would not recommend category.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another Great Storage Product from ThinkTank I love ThinkTank products. They hold my cameras and lenses, my memory cards, my camera batteries, and now my AA batteries for flashes, audio recorder, etc. I was using hard plastic holders for some AAs, but I just purchased 16 Envelop batteries and needed more storage. I decided to buy two of these ThinkTank holders and I'm happy with them. They are strong and durable, and fold up nicely. They even fold nicely when there are only 4 batteries inside, which you can't say for hard plastic holders. The only downside is I find the batteries slip out easily, and getting them in can be a bit difficult. Since there's nothing holding the batteries in place, as you're putting them in one at a time, they can shift and it can be annoying. Otherwise, great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect accessory for battery burners If you shoot weddings or events like I do, you know how important it is to have loads of AAs on hand for flashes and battery grips. This battery pouch is a light-weight and compact solution for storing & organizing your extra batteries on a shoot. HELPFUL HINT: I place all of my fresh batteries positive side up and my spent batteries negative side up so I know what I can use and what needs charging at the end of the night. Nothing worse than finding out that you just loaded your flash with spent bats! I will be ordering a couple more of these because they are so convenient and a great value.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can be used as a battery holder too I use it to hold a Canon LP-E17 battery along with 4 AA batteries.  It could also be used to carry two Canon LP-E17 batteries should you have no need to carry AAs.  Its well made with a strong velcro closure.  Would be perfect if it had a small ID window or a place to affix an address/telephone number label and a loop to attach it to a camera bag.   Camera batteries are pricey and this is the sort of item that could be accidently left behind during a shoot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Batteries Not Included I have a couple of AA battery powered LED lights in my kit. I keep several batteries on hand and wanted a way to better organize them. The 8AA Battery Holder from Think Tank Photo does a pretty good job, but wasn't as substantial as I had hoped. The material is a bit lack luster, but sturdy enough to feel like it will last a while. For the price tag, I am not sure it is worth what they're offering. I'd much rather have some small pelican case or something similar to house my batteries on a shoot. You might want to look elsewhere before going down this road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work great. Helps keep the batteries organized. I put the + side down for drained units. You have to have 4 in there to have things snug, but that's my normal anyway. Happy to recommend them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for extra flash batteries I use these to store my extra batteries for my Canon 600 RX speedlights. These take 4 batteries so this provides me with a nice way to keep my sets of 4 together. I keep the + (positive) sides up for fresh batteries and place the used batteries in with the - (negative) side up so I can quickly tell the difference. You can also fill only one section to keep it more compact if that is all you need to carry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Batteries Not Included You might want to think twice before purchasing the 8 AA Battery Holder from Think Tank Photo. I was hoping it would be made of more substantial material, but it does what it said it will do. For the price tag, I think I would look elsewhere perhaps purchasing some sort of Pelican Case that will hold more batteries and a charger. I have a couple of LED fixtures I use in my kit, and would much rather have something larger to accommodate it all. I like it, but overall think it is a bit pricey for what I got.

    Are these TSA approved?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Im not sure if these are TSA approved or if there is such a thing for battery holders. I typically fly domestically with 3 packs of these AA Battery holders inside a pelican case which I tend to take on as a carry on. I have not had any issues regarding the batteries or battery holder.
