The Impact 40" Extension Grip Arm (Black) is a staple of any film, video or photo production set. An ideal mate to an optional C-Stand, the 40" non-skid bar slips neatly into an optional grip head mounted to the stand allowing you to offset it and cantilever a flag, gobo, light or other accessory in front of it. The 40" bar has a permanently attached 2.5" grip head with a large ergonomic T-handle. The Grip Arm is often used as a short boom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stays where it should -- the first time! The grip arm is a welcome addition to my studio and I'm completely happy with it. I've been using other stands and make-shift holders, but this grip arm makes all that time and effort seem like such a waste. What I like best is that I can place the arm, tighten the handle and nothing moves. giving me better control and a solid position for whatever I chose to attach to it -- be it a speedlight, flag, or reflector. Set it and forget it and move onto taking the shots and getting the work done. I recommend this to any photographer looking to save time and effort getting your studio set up with confidence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and Strong Grip Arms/Heads have to be my favourite gear to manipulate on set: armed with a good c-stand and some sandbags and you can create some really creative rigs. This arm is strong, with an interesting 'sandpaper' like texture to ensure a tight grip. My only complaint would be the size of the tightening knob on the grip head: it's a little big and doesn't feel as solid as some of the more expensive heads I've seen. That said, it does exactly what it should for an amazing price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Love this product for using multiple Speedlites to overcome daylight! If you have multiple Speedlites, this is a must have!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! The grip assembly will bind up if used for a larger diameter than it's meant for, but when used properly, it's perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality Great quality extension arm. I had an extra baby stand and converted it into an extra c-stand with this and a grip head. My only complaint was with the shipping. It arrived and was covered in silica gel dust. I guess the packed of silica beads was crushed in shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional quality products always satisfy I am new to studio photography, and find the Impact line of equipment to be sturdy and well made, and looking as though it will last a lifetime. The price is reasonable and the build quality fantastic. C stands and accessories are heavy and awkward to use, but that's good they are supposed to be because that's what makes them the studio help mates they are designed to be. I use this grip arm constantly and cannot imagine my studio without it. Highly recommended.
