Impact LS-CT20M overview

  • 1Description

This chrome-plated, 5.9' Impact Turtle Base C-Stand features a patented locking mechanism that allows the legs to swing out and lock into place for easy setup and collapse flat for storage. The stand has a low center of gravity which allows mounting of heavy equipment without tipping. The legs are perfectly shaped for saddlebag-type sandbags. A light head can be mounted to the base directly with the aid of an optional stand adapter. The base allows individual legs to be set at any angle, and can be positioned in locations not possible with standard design stands.

Fold Away Legs and Removable Base
This stand features twist and release locking legs with unique mounts which are easy to fold or replace. The base detaches from the riser for easy packing.
Quick Setup
This stand sets up easily in a matter of seconds.
Durable Finish
This stand is suitable for all weather conditions.

    Impact LS-CT20M reviews

    Turtle Base C-Stand (Chrome-plated, 5.9') is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from may very well be indestructible It is was it is, a rock solid stand that breaks down pretty small or when built you can just slide them together 5-6 in a corner don't make a very big foot print at all. I have had a few of the taller ones for years now and do not treat them well at all, they are large and heavy so I don't want to play around packing them nicely... when I am done they get tossed in the van. This is my first 5.9 version and its noticeably lighter weight without the extra height (rarely need anything taller) Don't get me wrong still heavy but the extra pain from hauling them around is much better than the pain of having to rig and pray the lighter ones stay up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Stand! This stand is just.. perfect - compact but can expand. Got the grip arms and clamps to turn it into a boom and I use these all the time for lighting and flags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as any C Stand I own three other Impact C Stands. Love the folding legs. I bought this to use with a roller base I have for my whether table. Height is perfect and makes moving around the studio or location easy. I bought the complete light stand because I have an additional Kupo steel riser and a Kupo baby pin. The baby pin allows me to use any base to mount a low angle strobe light. This stand will last forever. Well built and easy to put up and take down. Quit buying cheap stands and go with C Stands. You'll be very happy you did.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too high for EyeLighter reflector This is a good heavy duty stable stand, however I am rating this stand that is recommended to purchase with the Westcott Eyelighter reflector. Testing the unit with the reflector today, it works fine if you wish to have your clients stand for their head shots. If you wish to pose your subjects on a sitting stool, it is just too high for any lady less than 6 feet tall. I am going to keep the stand because I can use a lower C stand for heavy soft boxes to light jewelry and position my 4 x 6 soft box near the floor up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job while saving money We like the heft, durability, and stability of C stands and use them on nearly every shoot. We've tried them all but the Impact stands are top of line quality for reasonable money. That's called a good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setting up Studio Lighting I have only had a chance to use the C-Stand to hold a table top to photograph still life / Light Painting. This stand worked perfectly. I plan to use these light stands to hold my mono lights once they get delivered. These stand have some weight to them, but that's what I wanted to provide the stability in the studio. I really like the quick opening ring on them and I just can't say anything bad about Impact C Stands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect, portable short-stand solution They easily come apart for shipping and storage. The base section is small enough to fit in a pelican, the pole section in our tripod shipping case. Three of these in a larger pelican clocks in at 70 lbs. The perfect height for hair lights. We attach a decent boom arm to them with no problems. Don't be dismayed by the Impact name. Would put these side-by-side with Matthews any day.
