Is there space under the instrument to slide in music books? Is that storage compartment next to the trumpet only as big as what I see in the photo? (I know some yamaha cases allow you to slide music under the trumpet in the case. That is a feature we are looking for) thank you

The case seems like a snug fit for the trumpet. I wouldnt count on storing much more in there than a straight mute, backing plates and a few ancillary items.
