The Joby Gorillapod Original Flexible Mini-Tripod (Black/Charcoal) is an ultra-versatile mini-tripod that can be used with lightweight compact cameras. Its three multi-segmented flexible legs can be formed to grip almost any protrusion, be it a branch, doorknob, rock, or uneven surface.

Each of the joints can bend and rotate 360° to wrap around objects. The bottom rubber segment on the legs are larger to allow it to be used as a traditional tripod.

Can you attach a ball head to this?

This particular version has a small ball head built into the top. In theory it is possible to add another head onto this, however in doing so you would be adding extra weight to this and it already has a low weight capacity. It is not recommended to add an additional head to this unit. Joby offers a larger size which has the option of adding a head to it. See the link below for the version.
