Solid Optic

I shelled out money for the EXPS3 over EXPS2 due to availability and mostly the tan color. The night vision mode is neat, and useful if you are fortunate to own NVGs, however I don't plan to utilize it anytime soon. The optic came well packaged in as swift a manner as one could expect with the current COVID-19 crisis. The reticle is crisp so long as you properly focus on the target, and not the reticle itself. Some may diss the battery life but if you have other items that utilize CR123 cells, its just a matter of stocking more. I'm happy with my purchase, and would recommend this optic to anyone wanting a quality sight.

question

what does night vision compatible mean?
Asked by: Charles M.
If you are using the sight while wearing night vision goggles you would want to switch it onto the night vision mode - by pushing the NV button. I don't have night vision goggles and thus no experience with that aspect, but if you push NV while NOT wearing night vision goggles, your eye CANNOT see any dot. Night vision goggles - however - can see it. I assume that since NV goggles magnify existing light, the regular dot would be too bright (that's my guess) but the NV mode is something compatible. Hope that helps!

question

Is this a real Eotech optic? I would like to know, because there's a lot of replicas out there that look almost the same as the real thing.
Asked by: Anonymous
B&H is much too established to gamble on un-ethical practices and their reputation. They always sell authentic products recognized by manufacturers. Even way back 22 years ago when I used to procure Nikon DSLR, B&H never ever sold counterfeit products. They did sold authentic Imports which aren't recognized by Nikon USA for warranty purposes but those are well disclosed before purchased. Rest assure product sold by B&H are authentic. That's why I check them first for major optic purchases, if they have it. Straightforward pricing and fast shipping (not during those Covid crazy days)
