Equinox HD6 Overview

The Equinox HD6 High Definition Underwater Video Housing for Panasonic HC-V10 Camcorder is a waterproof case custom-made for your Panasonic HC-V10 camcorder. It enables you to shoot beneath the surface to a maximum depth of 330' (100.6 m). The housing has near-neutral buoyancy at approximately 33' (10 m).

The housing provides access to essential camera functions, including Power on / off, Record start / stop, Photo, Mode, Zoom-Wide/Telephoto, and White Balance via mechanical controls. It's constructed from a durable, thermal-based polyvinyl carbonate, and is equipped with an integrated dome port. It also comes with a wide-angle lens, which enables you to get close to your subject while fitting more in the frame, thus cutting down on distortion caused by the water and improving contrast and color, while providing a greater angle of view. An included external color correction filter helps to restore some of the colors that are lost underwater, restoring vibrancy and color fidelity to your images.

The BRS / Ballast Release System serves a dual purpose: Easy travel and fast transport to the surface, should you run into trouble during your underwater video adventure. Simply pull on the quick release pin on one of the wings and the wing and ballast/handle are released; the housing now becomes positive in buoyancy and shoots to the surface.

You can add the optional EO bulkhead (not included), which provides a video feed to the surface via an 18" (45.7 cm) cable with a male inline connector, to allow for topside viewing.

The optional tripod mount #TPM (B&H #EQTPM) (not included) is available, and has a 1/4"-20 thread.

Lens Port
Equipped with an integrated dome port which accommodates the included 58mm diameter wide-angle lens. This lens attaches directly to the camcorder inside the housing. It enables you to get close to your subject while fitting more in the frame, thus cutting down on distortion caused by the water and improving contrast and color, while providing about a 10° greater angle of view. The lens also has a macro diopter that allows you to shoot close-ups with your camcorder while still focusing clearly and still obtaining the wide 16:9 aspect ratio. An included external color correction filter helps to restore some of the colors that are lost underwater, restoring vibrancy and color fidelity to your images
Optional EO Bulkhead
You can add the optional EO bulkhead (not included), which provides a video feed to the surface via an 18" (45.7 cm) cable with a male inline connector, to allow for topside viewing
