Apple MJYT2AM/A overview

  • 1Description

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader from Apple makes it possible to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your device so you can view them on the tablet's display. It is compatible with Lightning-enabled iOS devices running iOS 9.2 and later. After you insert the SD card into the reader, your device automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync with your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library. The Lightning to SD card reader supports standard photo formats including JPEG and RAW, as well as SD and HD video formats including H.264 and MPEG-4. iPad Pro users will benefit from data transfer speeds rivaling USB 3.0.

    Apple MJYT2AM/A reviews

Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 188.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from WORK AROUND 2 LOAD JPG - PC TO iPad Wrote two reviews, but want to provide an update. This cable designed to take pictures directly from camera to iPad only BUT FOUND A WORK AROUND to take pictures from PC to iPad. 1) format SD card with camera. 2) Take one test shot. This will create a folder named DCIM. 3) Rename the pictures you want to move from your PC to names 8 characters long (this excludes the file extension portion .jpg). 4) Load pictures on SD then transfer them to iPad. NOTE as stated in one rating here, an upper limit is iPad will not work with/recognize SD cards larger than 32GB. See Apple for updates. See also post I list for guidedance on PC to iPad image transfers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Apple Lightning to SD Card Reader Finally - a way to get images from a camera on to an iPad for review! I've been through several devices that haven't worked. Apple's own device does work well. You simply insert the SD card, plug the unit into the lightning port on the iPad and in a few seconds the images will show up. You then have the option of previewing everything in the DCIM folder on the card and saving any to the iPad if you wish. I decided to give 4 stars instead of 5 since this only works with SD cards. Apple should have provided a Compact Flash interface or at the very least, a USB interface in order to use with cameras that have other means of storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For Reviewing Photos On The Road This cable does exactly what we needed it to do -- it allows us to download photos from the memory card to the iPad when we are traveling. Normally we shoot photos throughout the day and download them to the computer in the evening, but when we are on vacation (away from home 2 or more nights) it's nice to be able to review, edit, and upload from the hotel room. This cable allows us to do just that. It's made by Apple. It plugs into the iPad. It fits perfectly. It just works. If you want to review and edit photos when you're away from home (using the Photos app or Lightroom Mobile) this is the way to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes viewing/sharing a breeze I use this product with my iPad mini and my Sony a77. When shooting at family or sporting events such as little league, softball, soccer, etc., I am able to quickly change out the card, plug it into my iPad mini for viewing while I continue to shoot with my second card. While I am shooting, my family and friends can view and then immediately email to whomever I took the photo of. It has been a breeze to share and view. As soon as I get home I simply connect my mini to my MacBook and transfer all photos. My family and friends have always enjoyed my photos, and now with this card reader they don't need to wait to get them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great! Not sure what the complaints are about but this worked well with my iPhone, iPad mini, iPad pro and my moms iPad Air2. Didn't have any issues connecting. As soon as the sd card is inserted it opens the photo apps and gives you the option to either select individual photos or all the photos. Once you've imported your choices you're given the option to either keep or delete just like a computer. Love this thing. Light portable and works like a charm. A bit pricey but so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great!! This little thing is awesome! I don't do many reviews but this deserves it. I bought it to check my cards from trail cameras so I don't need to hike my laptop in mile after mile. It can pull 250 pics from an 12mp card to my phone in under a minute. And allows me to select which ones I want to download by checking the little thumbnail. Anyone thinking of trying it for trail cams you won't be disappointed just make sure you have the room on your device and you'll love it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Incomplete data from usual I bought this product after reading very carefully all the information available here and on the Apple website. Basically it ONLY works with cards that are up to 32GB! Anything over that will NOT work...
