    Gossen DigiPro F2 reviews

DigiPro F2 - Flash and Ambient Light Meter is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from gossen digipro f2 In the 1990s I had a Minolta meter (now Kenko) and that was a good meter. Before my departure from the incomparable U.S.A. I purchased a Sekonic L-558R. It was an inaccurate Philippine made piece of expensive junk.I tried recalibration against this Gossen meter, but that was problematic each time. As a film photographer I find this Gossen digipro f2 a little jewel. I am basing my opinion on peel apart film test shots. I do not develop film until I have exposed at least 8 rolls of 120. Obtaining an EV for flash, with this meter, is painless.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Own The Light With Gossen So far, so good. Fairly easy to use. Nice case and neck strap. Chose this over the Sekonic 478 after reading about bugs/issues with the Sekonic. Has been working fine in measuring ambient and the one time I tried it as a flash meter my readings fell beyond the scale. I do however think I probably just entered the wrong shutter speed. I was in a hurry and therefore just wound up dialing-in exposure on my own. Assuming I can go back and easily use this as a flash meter, I would change my rating to 5 stars. Bought this when a rebate was available. All things being equal, I think I made the right choice for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gossen Digipro F2 True to the Gossen name, an excellent piece of equipment. Simple to use, and accurate. The Digi-pro doesn't have the low light sensitivity of the Luna-Pro, but then the Luna-Pro doesn't do flash. Between the two I cannot think of any situation that couldn't be handled. If I see any negatives with the Digi-pro it is that the exposure compensation calculator seem backwards. A positive number means to reduce exposure and viice-versa. The Digi-pro may seem a little pricey, but if it lasts as long as my Luna-Pro (40+ years), it will be well worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 38 years with a Gossen Luna Pro, I step to the DigiPro Perfect, fast and precise reading, useful with priority selection on aperture or speed plus flash. Small and light for traveling

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice lightmeter Very nice lightmeter. Nice practical, simple interface that is easy to use with no need to read the booklet. Legible display. Exact features and functions without so many functions that I'll never use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NICE SIMPLE ALL ROUND METER ! First, let me say that I bought this meter on one of B&H's Deal of the Day sales for about half price making it an outstanding value. I have used a multitude of meters over the last 45+ years. so I do have some experience. This is a relatively simple meter by today's standards, a feature that I like. If your looking for a meter that can do it all with lots of accessories, look elsewhere. The instruction manual is sort of sparse, but I was able to figure it out after about five minutes of playing with the meter. It's very light weight and relatively compact and will fit in most shirt pockets, a feature that I like. The exposure readings are accurate for both flash and ambient light. The light receptor rotates in all directions, another nice touch. Now for the Cons. The neck strap is junk. The case is well made of neoprene, but I don't like it's horizontal format and the velcro closure is way too strong making it somewhat hard to open. Some bemoan the lack of an off switch, but it shuts off automatically so I don't really find it a problem. At full price, I would give it four stars, but for what I paid it's a five star meter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best brand there is I'm a portrait photographer and I've used Gossen for over 20 years, and they are simply the best brand at any price. If you can afford one, get one. You won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and accurate A light meter should be easy to use, set up, and it shouldn't be cluttered with stuff that you'll never use. This is the best that I am aware of and it's incredibly accurate. Best part is that you can use and adjust it wearing gloves. I use a Nikon Df, that has the best on board meter that you can get in a camera, but I still use my F2 to tweak my exposures.
