Plustek OpticFilm 8200i SE Reviews

Easy to use

This is my first film scanner and I have to say, I’m sticking to the platform. The software takes a little getting used to, but it’s easy after an hour or two of playing with it. The scans turn out great and I love being able to choose the resolution I want the final upload to be. Ten out of ten! Also, B&H is the only place I will be buying this kind of stuff from. Faster shipping than the store with A-Z in the name.

Great quality for the cost.

Great scanner and software. Had used my flatbed scanner in the past, and this specialized device cuts the time dramatically. Love the results.

Yes, this device is multi-voltage and will work in AC 240 for Australia; you would simply need a plug tip adapter to fit it into the foreign outlets. See the link below for a recommend travel plug adapter kit:http://bhpho.to/IyfOma

question

I've read OpticFilm 8100 does not work on Mavericks.Does OpticFilm 8200 SE or 8200 AI work on Mac OSX 10.9 (Mavericks)?
Asked by: Anonymous
Although it the 8200SE, AI is compatible with Mac, the specs state: that the external buttons are not: IntelliScan, QuickScan (PC Only) I called Plustek support and these functions are not even accessible through the software. So the AI features - which make this model more expensive - are not Mac compatible. If I have been misinformed, please provide a correction. I would still purchase this model if I could get what I'm paying for.
