    Auray ABP-47B reviews

ABP-47B Aluminum Telescoping Boom Pole with Integrated XLR Cable (7') is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too fragile Very handy boom pole. Loved not having to wind the cord around it. But it broke after about 20 uses. Now only 2 of the extensions work and something inside rattles - so back to my old trusty boom pole. You need to be very gentle with this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but you need to be careful Good boompole, xlr in and out extends fine, light weight, can easily change the xlr cable inside in case it breaks (thing that many entry boom poles don't have). However, material is not as good as other competitors in the same price range and, if you're like me, wanting equipment that can deal with your roughness and stress, that's not the guy. Like any boom pole it needs to be handled with care, but due to its construction, this one needs a bit more care (which on the plus side is a good practice to have!). The extension twists are fine, not amazing but fine. In sum, you're on a run and gun shoot, where you need to set-up fast, i'd say not the best one to have. But you're in a controlled environment and taking care of your equipment, it's a good one to have. Price-wise obviously you can't expect the quality built of the boompoles priced three to five times higher but you can expect a decent one provided you're careful.
