With a total of twelve outlets, the Intelligent LCD CP1500AVRLCD Uninterrupted Power Supply from CyberPower can handle your power needs for a variety of devices from computers to routers and modems, and much more. The twelve total outlets are broken down into six battery and surge protected outlets and six surge-only protected outlets. Among the twelve outlets, two are widely spaced, giving you the ability to use a variety of plug types with this uninterrupted power supply.

Once configured, you benefit from up to 12 minutes of runtime at half load and 3 minutes of run time at full load, with up to 1,500 joules of integrated surge protection. Aside from standard power outlets, this UPS also comes equipped with a 1-in, 1-out combo Phone RJ11 / Ethernet RJ45 port, a 1-in, 1-out coax port, a serial port, and a USB Type-B port. Included with this UPS is a USB Type-B to Type-A cable.

General Features

Battery Backup
Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.
Surge Protection
Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage.
Data Line Protection
Prevents power surges that travel through telephone, coaxial, and Ethernet lines from causing damage to electronics.
Line Interactive Topology
Exists when a line interactive UPS has an autotransformer that regulates low voltages (e.g., brownouts) and over voltages (e.g., spikes) without having to switch to battery.
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)
Provides clean, consistent AC power by automatically regulating low voltages and over voltages, within defined tolerances, when incoming utility power has minor fluctuations.
Simulated Sine Wave Output
Uses pulse wave modulation to generate a stepped, approximated sine wave to supply cost-effective battery backup power.
GreenPower UPS Bypass Design
Patented design allows utility power to bypass the UPS transformer when AC power is stable, which reduces energy consumption, noise, and heat buildup.
Multifunction LCD Panel
Displays immediate, detailed information on the UPS battery and power conditions, alerting users to potential problems before they can affect critical equipment and cause downtime.
Quiet Design
Minimizes noise during operation for a quieter work environment.
PowerPanel Personal Edition Software
Provides a user-friendly dashboard interface for controlling and monitoring the UPS. Free software download available.
ENERGY STAR
This model is an ENERGY STAR certified Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. ENERGY STAR is the trusted government-backed symbol for energy-efficient products and practices that help save money and protect the environment.
Three-Year Warranty
CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within three years of the purchase date.
Connected Equipment Guarantee
CyberPower will repair or replace properly connected equipment if it is damaged by a power surge.

GreenPower UPS Technology

GreenPower
GreenPower UPS Technology from CyberPower consists of three different energy-saving designs that improve operating efficiency, reduce heat generation, and consume less power than conventional UPS models.
ECO Mode
ECO Mode is a form of bypass technology that can be switched on full time, set for noncritical times (such as nights and weekends), or switched off. This flexibility can help conserve power and save money.
Bypass Design
Patented bypass design allows current to bypass the transformer and automatic voltage regulation (AVR) when utility power is normal, thus reducing energy consumption and associated costs. Because utility power functions normally most of the time, the bypass design allows for substantial energy savings. This technology also reduces heat generation, an important factor in decreasing operating costs.
High-Efficiency Design
Decreases power consumption to create an ultra-efficient backup battery for home and office use.

Power Protection without the Noise

Power Protection
CyberPower UPS systems harness high-efficiency ventilation, GreenPower UPS technology, and innovative system components to ensure ultra-quiet operation.
Noise Filtering
Noise filtering improves picture and sound quality in audio/video systems. CyberPower uses advanced EMI/RFI noise filtering coils to decrease problems caused by electromagnetic fields and radio frequency interference. The filters smooth minor current fluctuations which cause disruptive humming and static.
Line Conditioning
Line conditioning with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) prolongs the life of sensitive electronic equipment. AVR line conditioning adjusts the incoming AC voltage, keeping it within safe levels and reducing stress caused by power fluctuations.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)

Automatic Voltage Regulation
Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) in line-interactive UPS systems stabilizes the incoming AC signal to maintain output power at a nominal 120V by controlling high and low voltages without resorting to battery power. This increases battery life and lessens the likelihood of data loss, memory freezes, and system crashes.
How AVR Works in a Line Interactive UPS
A line interactive UPS includes an AVR autotransformer, which is a special type of transformer designed to switch between powered coils of wire in response to variances in utility power input, thereby increasing or decreasing the magnetic field and the resulting output voltage to connected equipment.

This type of UPS tolerates undervoltage brownouts and overvoltage surges without consuming backup battery power by automatically selecting different power taps on the AVR autotransformer. During normal operation, incoming AC power bypasses the autotransformer (where voltage highs and lows are controlled) while also charging the battery. When the incoming voltage falls below the AVR range, the UPS switches to battery backup, and the DC-AC inverter circuitry is engaged. Power will continue to be supplied by the battery-inverter circuit until incoming voltage returns to the range manageable by the AVR.

    CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD reviews

Intelligent LCD CP1500AVRLCD Uninterrupted Power Supply is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 73.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Backup for my Mac is great I purchased this because it has software to talk to my macpro. Other manufacturers didn't have that. It's quiet and reliable so far. I pulled the plug to see what would happen and it worked like it was supposed to. The usb port gets an occasional no communication but then goes away. If not for that, it would have been 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch! Product Works Great! Sick of Replacing APC Batteries and Units. CyberPower makes a very good, reliable, long-lasting replacement! APC has gone downhill since being acquired by Schneider, in my opinion. If you need new UPSs, or new PCs, I recommend CyberPower. Their quality, reliability, and price are second to none, again, in my opinion. They make great products! Check them out. (Note: I have no connection whatsoever to CyberPower, except for being happy with their products.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Care About the Images in Your Computer? Then You Need this. Lightening can strike at any time, as can unexpected drive failures and electrical surges. Unless you don't care about all of the images in your computer, you need this. Not only a buffer between spikes and surges, this device will allow you time to properly shut down your computer. Even though you may not readily detect it, each time your system shuts down abruptly, you have damage. The power in my home goes out more frequently than I'd like and this unit has allowed me to protect the two computers on my desk as well as the three drives that back up all of my images. For what this items costs, why wouldn't you have one?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent UPS, but can't power on under 100% battery This UPS has served me quite well and saved my butt a number of times already. High quality as you'd expect and very easy to operate, no major complaints. However, I've noticed that it won't let you power it on if it's at anything less than a full charge. This is a minor annoyance if, for instance, you turned it off during a power outage and wanted to turn it back on to power something else for a minute. Odd design feature, presumably intended to avoid the unit accidentally powering on during shipping, but otherwise a stellar unit. 9/10, highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than APC I had a system of external drives, display, and computer all plugged into a comparably rated APC unit that would often go into backup mode when booting up. The new CyberPower unit eliminated this - showing the problem was not coming from any overload. This unit is excellent. I read other positive reviews from others as well - which influenced my decision. I'm pleased with the product and the B&H best price and customer service on everything they sell. Overall: completely satisfied. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Bad Battery Backup I have a business and we rented a space that has been chopped up and put back together. Throughout all of this they haven't updated the electrical so we have a ton of stuff all on one circuit and the breaker trips all the time. Before I ordered battery backup, I would lose work all the time and now, I just keep on trucking! I have a mac mini and dual 23 inch monitors and it runs all of it no problems and indicates that it can continue to run it up to approximately an hour before depleting it's batteries. This allows for ample time to save my work and go and find the offending employee running their heater and making toast... Highly recommend this item and imagine I'll be buying more of them for the rest of my employees very soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD So far so good, no pwer outtage yet, but i've tried pulling out the plugs several times, requirements are met thus far... Get about 53-57 min battery time... But that's running a macbook pro, 27' nec monitor, g-drive hard drive...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I use this UPS to protect my custom computer made by Maingear. I use this computer for my business which is a photography and video production company. If I lose my computer I lose money. I live in a remote area and the the power grid is shaky at times especially during a thunderstorm. Power surges are frequent. The Cyberpower UPS as performed very well.
