Aside from standard power outlets, this UPS also comes equipped with a 1-in, 1-out combo Phone RJ11 / Ethernet RJ45 port, a 1-in, 1-out coax port, a serial port, and a USB Type-B port. Included with this UPS is a USB Type-B to Type-A cable.

General Features

Battery Backup

Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.

Surge Protection

Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage.

Data Line Protection

Prevents power surges that travel through telephone, coaxial, and Ethernet lines from causing damage to electronics.

Line Interactive Topology

Exists when a line interactive UPS has an autotransformer that regulates low voltages (e.g., brownouts) and over voltages (e.g., spikes) without having to switch to battery.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)

Provides clean, consistent AC power by automatically regulating low voltages and over voltages, within defined tolerances, when incoming utility power has minor fluctuations.

Simulated Sine Wave Output

Uses pulse wave modulation to generate a stepped, approximated sine wave to supply cost-effective battery backup power.

GreenPower UPS Bypass Design

Patented design allows utility power to bypass the UPS transformer when AC power is stable, which reduces energy consumption, noise, and heat buildup.

Multifunction LCD Panel

Displays immediate, detailed information on the UPS battery and power conditions, alerting users to potential problems before they can affect critical equipment and cause downtime.

Quiet Design

Minimizes noise during operation for a quieter work environment.

PowerPanel Personal Edition Software

Provides a user-friendly dashboard interface for controlling and monitoring the UPS. Free software download available.

This model is an ENERGY STAR certified Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. ENERGY STAR is the trusted government-backed symbol for energy-efficient products and practices that help save money and protect the environment.

Three-Year Warranty

CyberPower will repair or replace a defective UPS system (including batteries) within three years of the purchase date.

Connected Equipment Guarantee

CyberPower will repair or replace properly connected equipment if it is damaged by a power surge.

GreenPower UPS Technology

GreenPower UPS Technology from CyberPower consists of three different energy-saving designs that improve operating efficiency, reduce heat generation, and consume less power than conventional UPS models.

ECO Mode

ECO Mode is a form of bypass technology that can be switched on full time, set for noncritical times (such as nights and weekends), or switched off. This flexibility can help conserve power and save money.

Bypass Design

Patented bypass design allows current to bypass the transformer and automatic voltage regulation (AVR) when utility power is normal, thus reducing energy consumption and associated costs. Because utility power functions normally most of the time, the bypass design allows for substantial energy savings. This technology also reduces heat generation, an important factor in decreasing operating costs.

High-Efficiency Design

Decreases power consumption to create an ultra-efficient backup battery for home and office use.

Power Protection without the Noise

Power Protection

CyberPower UPS systems harness high-efficiency ventilation, GreenPower UPS technology, and innovative system components to ensure ultra-quiet operation.

Noise Filtering

Noise filtering improves picture and sound quality in audio/video systems. CyberPower uses advanced EMI/RFI noise filtering coils to decrease problems caused by electromagnetic fields and radio frequency interference. The filters smooth minor current fluctuations which cause disruptive humming and static.

Line Conditioning

Line conditioning with automatic voltage regulation (AVR) prolongs the life of sensitive electronic equipment. AVR line conditioning adjusts the incoming AC voltage, keeping it within safe levels and reducing stress caused by power fluctuations.

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)

Automatic Voltage Regulation

Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) in line-interactive UPS systems stabilizes the incoming AC signal to maintain output power at a nominal 120V by controlling high and low voltages without resorting to battery power. This increases battery life and lessens the likelihood of data loss, memory freezes, and system crashes.

How AVR Works in a Line Interactive UPS

A line interactive UPS includes an AVR autotransformer, which is a special type of transformer designed to switch between powered coils of wire in response to variances in utility power input, thereby increasing or decreasing the magnetic field and the resulting output voltage to connected equipment.

This type of UPS tolerates undervoltage brownouts and overvoltage surges without consuming backup battery power by automatically selecting different power taps on the AVR autotransformer. During normal operation, incoming AC power bypasses the autotransformer (where voltage highs and lows are controlled) while also charging the battery. When the incoming voltage falls below the AVR range, the UPS switches to battery backup, and the DC-AC inverter circuitry is engaged. Power will continue to be supplied by the battery-inverter circuit until incoming voltage returns to the range manageable by the AVR.

This was a replacement power supply. The old one was an older model from the same manufacturer. It out lasted the warranty by a few years. So I bought basically the same thing to replace it. CyberPower's price is good compared to the competition.

Easy to set up, great piece of mind

I recently go this CyberPower Power supply after hour power went out recently. If was frustrating not being any to do a ANYTHING. Since I have use this Power Supply the power has gone out for short periods of time - seconds - so hard to say how it will perform if power was out for an extended period, but for now it's working great.

I live in a country where the outlet voltage is rated at 240V. the rating on this model is 90-140V. Will this model work in my country or do I have to buy a transformer along with it?
Asked by: Tk M.
We do not suggest you use this model internationally; You should purchase the model that comes standard at 240v.

Can I plug a surge protector that has multiple devices on it into this to protect them all from just one outlet?
Asked by: Joseph
It is not recommended to plug power strips into power strips and in some cases it may be a OSHA or code violation.

I tried to turn on the UPS but nothing comes on this display screen, I only hear the deeps. I charged for more than 8 hours but it still doesn't turn on is that normally?
Asked by: Andre Young C/O P.
No that is not normal. In fact I did not charge mine at all I just plugged it in and plugged my equipment into it and it came on no problem.Just to ask a stupid question you are sure that the outlet you have the ups plugged into is working and has power right? If that outlet is working correctly I think there is something wrong with your UPS. Either the display is broken/internal disconnected or the battery(s?) are internally disconnected or something like that. There might be an option to turn the display off (maybe via the USB interface) but I am sure you would remember dong something like that.Just to see where the problem might be try connecting anything to the ups (like a lamp) and see if it turns on. Then pull the plug on the ups and see if the lamp (or whatever) stays on. That will tell you if it is just the display is bad or it is something else. Either way you should exchange it for one that works as expected.Good Luck!

Will this keep a desktop computer up and running during a very short power outage, such as a one second outage that normally causes my computer to shut down? In other words, does it switch fast enough to the power supply to prevent shut-down of the computer?
Asked by: Dave B.
Yes it will. Should work like a battery on a laptop. Depending on the usage and the size of the computer system it'll last averaging 45-60 minutes per charge on battery back-up status. Also it'll put it to sleep to conserve battery and whatever might still be running on the computer. Check your power settings after installing drivers Make sure to connect the usb and utility drivers. It's Power button must be on at all times for the backup baterry unit to work. Recommend not to connect printer as it pulls much more power and drain the battery.

how many hours will provide power?
Asked by: Anonymous
Depends on what you have running off of it. With a desktop, 2 monitors, router, modem, and NAS drive I have about 30 minutes on battery back-up. Enough time to save all my work and properly shut down.
