I have a wide range of Tripods and heads - including my Sachtler workhorse for my V-Raptor-XL Cinema kit. But on a recent location scouting trip - including hikes and cliffs - a giant tripod and fluid head would have been unwieldy and overkill. SO - this Articise system was perfect. We put a Red Komodo on it, with a DZO Pictor 20-55 parfocal zoom, and got FANTASTIC location footage without the burden of a giant set-up. The fluid head is surprisingly smooth for such an affordable set-up. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
