Wired and Wireless Connectivity
Much like the Mic 2, the Mic Mini features both 2.4 GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth allows you to connect the transmitters to your DJI Mimo app via iOS or Android device. You can even connect directly to your Osmo 360, Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Action 5 Pro camera. Toggle different settings via the Mimo app like noise cancellation and audio limiting. Both 3.5mm TRS and USB-C connections are available on the receiver unit for connection to a wide range of devices. An included 3.5mm TRS Camera Audio cable facilitates camera connection and synchronizes the receiver's power with that of the camera. When connected to your mobile device via USB-C, both the receiver and your smartphone can be charged simultaneously and clips can be reviewed using external playback.
Wireless Drone Recording
The Mic Mini is also wirelessly compatible with the DJI Neo drone using the DJI Fly app. Connect the Mic Mini to your smartphone's Bluetooth and open the DJI Fly app for audio recording. The app also automatically eliminates propeller noise and merges the recorded audio with your footage.
Wearable and Portable Microphones
For a truly wireless experience, conveniently attach each transmitter to whatever you're wearing via the integrated back clip without having to wire yourself or your talent. Other wearing options include magnetic attachment and lanyard with separately available accessories.
Each transmitter weighs only 0.4 oz, ensuring it does not weigh down your collar or flip outward for a pleasing on-camera look.
The built-in mics feature an omnidirectional pickup pattern that ensures reliable speech capture, even if mic placement is less than ideal; your subject's voice is captured with clarity, intelligibility, and consistency.
Four furry windscreens are provided to effectively suppress wind noise while still recording clear sound.
Intuitive Controls
Use the onboard transmitter controls to toggle between the two levels of noise cancelling. Basic level is ideal for quiet indoor settings, reducing noises from fans, air conditioning units, and other reverb noises while preserving vocals. Strong level is ideal for noisy environments and cuts ambient noise for clearer vocals.
Enable automatic limiting to lower the volume of your audio input, preventing clipping and ensuring reliable audio quality. This eliminates the need to adjust settings on the fly.
When all else fails, you can quickly adjust five levels of gain using the dial on the receiver unit.
Safety track recording is available when you anticipate possible interference, recording a second track 6 dB lower to ensure you have usable audio in fluctuating environments.
Extended Battery Life
Built-in rechargeable batteries on each transmitter and receiver offer long operating times of 11.5 and 10.5 hours, respectively. Charge the units for just five minutes for an additional 1 hour of use when both are depleted. The included charging case can replenish the entire system 3.6 times for a total extended battery life of 48 hours. In the DJI Mimo app, you can toggle auto power off for the system, causing both devices to automatically shut down after 15 minutes if not connected, preserving your battery life.

My brother travelled to New York on a business trip and while he was there I asked him to pick up a set of the DJI mic mini with the charging case for me as I could not find stock here in South Africa.
He was in the store on 17 May 2026 and purchased the mic mini for me with the Serial Number 8PBWP35006SKLW and brought it back to South Africa and brought the mics to me last night (04/06/2026). I immediately noticed the box was not covered in the plastic film DJI products are shipped with. Upon further inspection I found that the charger, receiver and mics were completely charged which I found strange as well. Taking the mics out of the case I found that someone had used a black permanent marker to colour in the DJI logo on the mics showing that the mics had clearly already been used. I then looked into the packaging and found that both the USB charging cable and the 3.5mm mic cable for connection to normal cameras were missing.
I contacted customer support and was asked to provide the order number. Unfortunately my brother has misplaced the receipt but it is rather surprising for me that the store does not keep a track of the serial number of goods on the system. The other option I was given was to ship the product back to the store at my own cost for them to try and resolve the issue. I will not be doing this because it would cost me more to send the item back than to replace the missing 3.5mm and usb c cables
I find it rather disappointing that someone in the store deliberately sold a used product to my brother, probably because he came across as a foreigner who could easily be fleeced with a used/returned product.
Yes it's just an $79 product and the USB cable and 3.5mm audio cable will probably cost less than $10 to replace but there are people working in the store who are willing to put the global reputation of BHP on the line for this $79 item. They are not only fleecing your customers, they are also fleecing the store.
If you are buying from the store, especially if you are traveling from somewhere far away, please check any purchases and make sure that everything is in order before leaving the store.

Does this mic works with DJI Mic 2 MI Shoe Camera Adapter ?

The DJI Mic 2 camera adapter is exclusively compatible with Sony cameras that support the Mi hot shoe. If the camera adapter is connected to the camera and a prompt indicates that the camera is not compatible, it may also indicate that the camera does not support Mi hot shoe, which leads to the inability to recognize the DJI Mic 2 camera adapter. In such cases, it is advised to utilize a 3.5 mm camera cable for connection instead.

It does not feature a dedicated switch for this, but it can toggle between mono/stereo or mono safety thru the Mimo app.

The DJI Mic Mini 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz) is designed to work with up to two microphone transmitters at a time. It is not possible to add a third microphone transmitter to the system.

Why is there no audio interference when 2 transmitters are sending signals to one receiver?

The receiver for the DJI Mic Mini 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz) has two separate channels and each transmitter is sending an audio signal to a separate channel on the receiver using a different frequency. The way it functions is as if there were two individual wireless microphone systems operating at the same time.
