Manfrotto 114MV Reviews

114MV Cine/Video Dolly for Tripods with Spiked Feet is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Dolly. sturdy I shoot wedding videos and a dolly is a must. it's great for getting track shots and from moving quickly from one location to another. This is a much more sturdy stable dolly than the Manfrotto 3 inch I have. My camera crashed to the grounds because it tipped over on the 3 inch wheel dolly. No problems with the 5 inch. Unfortunitely, not all bogan tripod legs fit snuggly in the grips (tend to wobble) so you may need to add a little duck tape to the tripod for a more snug fit. Only drawback but otherwise awesome dolly. the 5 inch wheel are Much smoother over cracks on dance floor than the 3 inch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes I would buy this product again and a Before I've decided to purchase this dolly, I went thru' all the comments available on this item from B&H They were all positive. But what I discovered the most interesting is that, owing a (Vinten) tripod, I wanted to compare this dolly with the more expensive model from Vintenl. They seemed to have the same features. Not only that, they both had the same 114 number in their Model No. So, thanks to B&H, I was able to make an excellent choice with confidence. And once delivered to my home (within 4 days only) near Montreal, Canada, the 114MV dolly by Manfrotto was very easy to set up and was up to the qualities described in the ad. Many thanks B&H. you're the best guide available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built Like A Tank You really can't destroy these things. They are well-built and work very well for shooting situation that require moving the camera often. I had a large production at multiple facilities that require moving the camera from point to point over the course of the day. The first shoot I carried it around and by the end of the day, couldn't move my arms anymore. This was a lifesaver. It's expensive, but if you have a 20lb+camera rig, it is well worth the money. One note to keep in mind is that it is very wide and may not fit through doorways under 36". Also, be sure to purchase the correct model. This one is for spiked tripod legs but there is a similar model for non-spiked legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using The Dolly with a Jib I am a camera operator and have a 7' jib I have used for years on a Manfrotto tripod. Every time I would need to reposition the jib it required a lot of effort to pick it up and move it. The Cine Dolly makes it so much easier to move it around If you have either a crane, jib or heavy camera rig I would recommend this. It also easily locks into position.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dolly We use this dolly for a jib. It rolls like glass and locks in place very easy. Right out of the box we had it set up with the jib on it in minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for studio I purchased two of these for my studio (High school teacher). Make moving the cameras a lot easier. They glide across the floor. Please note that they have two different models. The 114 and the 114MV depending on which type of legs your tripod have...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Event Production Dolly! Creative Video Services is a video production company serving corporate clients with single-to-multi-camera coverage. This dolly has been a work horse for us over the years, and, while our original is still in use, we needed an additional one. The only modification we made to the dolly is removing the cable guards since they make crossing cables in make-shift studio environments difficult. Otherwise, the large wheels make repositioning the camera across cables pretty easy. We look forward to years of use to come from our new purchase!

Good afternoon! I have the Manfrotto 351MVB2 and am trying to figure out which tripod dolly will work with these sticks?
Asked by: Anonymous
The Manfrotto 351MVB2 Tripod has spiked feet, which means that this dolly will work with that tripod.

question

Which model would I use for a Manfrotto 190X3 tripod?
Asked by: Charlotte
The Manfrotto 114MV is designed for tripods with spiked feet, the Manfrotto 190X3 has round feet and will not be compatible. You would want the Manfrotto 114 version instead for the 190X3. You could also look in to a Universal Dolly like the Vazizoom VZ-D50.

question

I have the Manfrotto 350MVB tripod. Will the 114MV fit my tripod? Are the wheels bolted in or are they fixed. I would like to switch them out for a rail system.
Asked by: aaron h.
Sorry, the tripod will not fit the dolly and the wheels are not meant to come off.

question

Will this dolly be compatible with a Benro tripod like the S8 Pro Video Head and A3573F Series 3 AL Tripod? <a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1026241-REG/benro_a373fhs8_s8_video_tripod_kit.html target= _blank >http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1026241-REG/benro_a373fhs8_s8_video_tripod_kit.html</a>In case not, which dolly would you recommend for it? I do not mind the price, looking for something very good and efficient. Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, while this dolly is excellently made, the tripod attachment method is incompatible with the Benro feet. Please see the two dollies we are recommending. They have the correct attachment method for the Benro.

question

What is the difference between Manfrotto 114 and Manfrotto 114MV?
Asked by: Felix F.
Manfrotto 114MV Cine/Video Dolly is designed for use with tripods with spiked feet, while the 114 is designed to work with tripods that have standard legs. They both have the same load capacity, it is just a matter of the way a tripod is connected to the dolly and the tripods that they are compatible with.

question

Anyone has used this on Sachtler/ Oconnor 30L legs?
Asked by: Yuki
Unfortunately, there are no known reports of this dolly being used with other manufacturer tripods. If the tripod has feet with two spikes each foot, it may fit. Do be cognizant of weight capacities. This dolly is good for 132 lbs while the OConnor 30L is good for 203 lbs.

question

Having a couple of questions:First, could I use this dolly 114MV with the Manfrotto 536 Carbon Fiber tripod? (https://<a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/556158-REG/Manfrotto_536_536_4_Section_Carbon_Fiber.html target= _blank >www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/556158-REG/Manfrotto_536_536_4_Section_Carbon_Fiber.html</a>)Second, is there any advantage on 114MV than 114? Spiked feet? Finally, I also own a 545GB tripod; so, I'm looking for the best option for both.Thank you in advance.
Asked by: Leonardo Y.
For use with the Manfrotto 536 Carbon Fiber tripod you would need the Manfrotto 114 Heavy Duty Cine/Video Dolly B&H # MA114. For the Manfrotto 509HD Video Head & 545GB Aluminum Tripod Pro Ground-Twin Kit 100 B&H # MA509HD545G you would use the Manfrotto 114MV Cine/Video Dolly B&H # MA114MV. It is all about matching up the feet with the receptacles of the dolly.
