Apple Reveals New M5 Series of Devices

Promising the next big leap in performance, Apple unveiled its latest iPad Pro and 14” MacBook Pro devices, now equipped with the powerful and robust M5 processor. Developed on the third-generation 3nm technology, the latest M5 processor delivers greater CPU and GPU performance across the board.

Sporting a 10-core architecture, the M5 is made up of six efficiency cores and four performance cores, enabling up to 15% uplift in performance over the previous generation. It also has a 15-core Neural Engine that delivers up to 30% increase in unified memory bandwidth, making multitasking, graphical performance, and AI integration even better.

When it comes to raw performance, the M5 chip increases the overall performance of the MacBook Pro immensely. You get faster graphical capabilities paired with enhanced computational power across the board. Equipped with a more robust Neural Engine, we see greater uplift with AI applications, taking Apple Intelligence to a whole new level.

Renown features like the Liquid Retina XDR display with a nano-texture option, a 12MP Center Stage camera, six-speaker sound stage, and multiple connectivity options makes the latest MacBook Pro one of the most powerful laptops in the world.

iPad Pro

Thanks to the M5 processor, the iPad Pro now boasts up to 3.5x greater performance when operating AI enhanced tasks compared to the previous generation. When compared to the first generation M1 processor, you’ll get up to 5.6x the performance. The iPad Pro with M5 also shows enhanced throughput when working with professional-grade applications like Octane X, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, giving creators the best performance in a compact and lightweight design.

The iPad Pro also gets Wi-Fi 7 integration and Bluetooth 6 thanks to the N1 wireless networking chip. Additionally, iPad Pro models include the C1X cellular modem chip for faster networking speeds based on the wireless carrier of your choice and improves AirDrop and Hotspot features.

Connectivity has also been improved, allowing the iPad Pro to connect to external displays with 120 Hz refresh rate for smoother operation and even gaming enhancements. Adaptive Sync has also been integrated into the device, producing a smoothing image for all of your tasks. 

Both the new iPad Pro and 14” MacBook Pro with M5 chips will be available starting October 22, 2025.
