ASUS Pushes Creativity Forward with New Laptops

5Share

ASUS set out to make a huge splash at CES 2023, and it did so with Vegas-worthy style by announcing a flood of powerful laptops and devices geared toward professional content creators and gaming enthusiasts. In addition to launching the 14" Chromebook Vibe Flip CX34, which is optimized for streaming and creative experiences, ASUS unveiled updates to its ProArt Studiobook, Zenbook Pro, and Vivobook Pro laptop lines. While support for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 GPUs will almost certainly enhance workflows and gaming experiences, ASUS decided to take things further by bringing users an added dimension to its displays.

Glasses-Free 3D

You may have thought 3D displays were a thing of the past, but they're poised to make a big comeback―this time without the need for special glasses, thanks to ASUS Spatial Vision. The ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED includes a 16" 3.2K 120 Hz 3D OLED display that features a lenticular lens and an advanced eye-tracking camera that delivers distinct images to each eye to create a 3D effect. That means you can work on 3D models directly in software without having to build models or put on a VR headset.

The 3D OLED display also works with the ASUS Spatial Vision Hub to bring 3D videos, movies, games, and more to life. At the same time, ASUS Spatial Vision provides development tools built on SR (Simulated Reality), created in partnership with Dimenco, to enhance the technology further with gesture control, interactive learning, and more features. You'll be able to switch between 3D and 2D modes at will.

The ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED will be powered by a 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13980HX processor, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPU, and up to 64GB of upgradeable memory. It also has a large, stylus-compatible haptic touchpad and an ASUS Dial rotary control that provide precise control with creative apps.

Those who want a more affordable laptop may prefer the ASUS Vivobook Pro 16X 3D OLED, which also has a 3D OLED 3.2K 120 Hz display and is configurable with up to 64GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD. It includes the same CPU and GPU as the ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED. Those who don't need a 3D display can look to the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED, which is expected to release in Q2 of 2023.

ASUS Zenbook Pro OLED

Although glasses-free 3D technology may have stolen the show, updates to the ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED shouldn't be overlooked, especially since it features a 3.2K 120 Hz OLED HDR NanoEdge touchscreen with 16:10 aspect ratio. But in addition to that, ASUS gives this laptop a major boost from the previous generation by featuring a unique Intel® processor with a space-saving Supernova System-on-Module (SoM) design that enhances cooling efficiency while leaving room for additional GPU components and allowing memory to reach 7500 MHz. That's in addition to the 13th Gen Core™ i9 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 graphics, and up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

As though that weren't enough, the intelligent lighting system that illuminates the keyboard helps to enhance your workflow with smart interactivity features. There is also an ASUS Dial and ASUS NumberPad with haptic feedback and enhanced pressure sensitivity for easy number entry.

Those looking for a more compact laptop can check out the ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED, which has a Pantone Validated 2.8K 120 Hz OLED NanoEdge Dolby Vision display that supports 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut. This thin, light system weighs just 3.6 lb and measures 0.7" thick while still packing an Intel® Core™ i9-13900H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series Laptop GPU. It may be configured with up to 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB SSD.
