Lexar Unveils New CFexpress 4.0 Cards and ARMOR 700 SSD at CES 2024

At CES 2024, Lexar showcased an array of professional storage solutions, encompassing memory cards and portable SSDs. First up, the brand's CFexpress 4.0 Type B DIAMOND Series takes advantage of the PCIe Gen 4 bus to deliver read speeds of up to 3600 MB/s and write speeds of up to 3300 MB/s, which is more than enough to capture raw 8K video and photos. CFexpress Type A users won't be disappointed, because Lexar's CFexpress 4.0 Type A GOLD Series also uses the PCIe Gen 4 bus and features read speeds of up to 1800 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1650 MB/s.

Within the portable storage ecosystem, Lexar's ARMOR 700 SSD is available in capacities ranging from 1TB to 4TB and combines IP66 water and dust resistance with a rugged form that can withstand drops of up to 9.8'. All of this makes the ARMOR 700 an effective storage solution that can be used at home, in the studio, or on location.

Lexar's 2024 releases at CES continue its commitment to powerful performance and accelerated post-production efficiencies that today's users need.

For whatever reason my comment disappeared.  I'm sure they'll be two now.  Will this 4 card work in a Canon R5?

Do these work in new cameras only?  I latest is Canon R5...

The new Lexar CFexpress 4.0 Type B DIAMOND Series memory cards retain backward compatibility, so they should be compatible with all cameras which currently use CFexpress Type B memory cards.

Amazing read and write speeds in the new Lexar CF express cards.
