Microsoft is happy to announce its latest series of Surface Pro tablets and Surface Laptops for Business Copilot+ PC users. Designed for large scale deployment, enhanced security, and serviceability, the latest Surface devices for business ensure longevity while also providing greater performance across the board.
Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC
Coming in multiple configurations, the 8th Edition of the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC provides users with multiple build options that best suit their needs. Configurations include either the 13.8" or 15" screen sizes which feature high-quality PixelSense Touchscreens for direct input and adjusting using your fingers or an optional stylus.
You also get to choose between several 3rd Series Intel Core Ultra processors with the Core Ultra 5, Core Ultra 7, and the Core Ultra X7 which is only available on the 15" model. We also can outfit the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC with up to 64GB of memory and 1TB of storage.
The 15" model includes the option to add a smart card reader for those who want an additional layer of security typically found in government organizations and other environments that handle sensitive data.
Speaking of security, both the 13.8" and 15" models include enterprise grade security with integrated TPM 2.0 and BitLocker support, Microsoft Pluton security processor, and Windows Hello facial recognition with Enhanced Sign-in Security. We also get firmware security with Surface UEFI built with Patina and Project Mu open-source components available through the Open Device Partnership (ODP), Secured Embedded Controller project open-source components available through ODP, and updates through Windows Update directly. All these provide the security and safety of your business needs to ensure information is safe while enabling mass deployments for multiple users.
I/O is also rather robust for each model. The 13.8" Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC includes two USB-C ports with USB4/Thunderbolt 4 capabilities which provides charging, enhanced data transfer, DisplayPort, and Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock capabilities. You also get fast charging with any AC adapter rated over 60W through these ports. Additionally, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and Surface Connect port.
For the 15" model, you get all of these plus a microSDXC Express card reader, and once again, you can outfit the model of your choosing with an integrated smart card reader. Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth Core 5.4 wireless technologies are also built into the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC.
Finally, the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC gives you plenty of hours of usage with up to 23 hours of local video playback and up to 14.5 hours of active web usage on the 13.8" model while the 15" model gets up to 21 hours of video playback and 14 hours of active web usage. That is enough to last you the whole workday and then some.
Surface Pro for Business Copilot+ PC
Unlike the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC, the Surface Pro for Business Copilot+ PC is a refined variation of the stylings popularized by the very first Surface Pro from ages ago! The core concept of the Surface Pro stands as it did in the past, a tablet that features laptop-grade components, and the 12th Gen Surface Pro for Business Copilot+ PC doesn't disappoint.
You get to choose from either an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 64GB of memory, and up to 1TB of storage. Depending on which processor you choose, depending on the loadout you can outfit your Surface Pro for Business with.
If you choose the Intel Core Ultra 5 model, you get the 13" LCD PixelSense Flow Touchscreen which provides a high-quality 2880 x 1920 resolution. Otherwise, the 15" model comes with a 13" OLED PixelSense Flow Touchscreen which provides deeper colorization, a higher contrast ratio, and greater color accuracy.
The Surface Pro for Business Copilot+ PC also includes the same USB-C ports as the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC, offering USB4/Thunderbolt 4 support which includes fast charging, data transfer, DisplayPort capabilities, and more. Models with Wi-Fi and 5G networking capabilities also feature a NanoSIM slot so you can connect to your service provider with ease.
The Surface Pro for Business Copilot+ PC also includes the same level of enterprise-ready resources and security options as the Surface Laptop for Business Copilot+ PC.
Of course, it wouldn't be a true Surface device without the integrated kickstand with a 165-degree full-friction hinge so you can get the best viewing angle possible.
Sustainability and Serviceability
All Surface devices are planned with greater sustainability and serviceability, giving companies greater longevity out of their devices. Packaging and materials within the packaging are made from recycled content. Even the devices themselves are derived from recycled rare earth metals, tin in solder paste, gold, copper, and more.
Microsoft also built the latest Surface models to include visual icons to assist IT departments with repairs. Tech specialists can easily replace the display model, drives, batteries, the entire motherboard, and a whole lot more thanks to Microsoft's dedication to repairability and serviceability.
