While modern gaming consoles are focused on pushing 4K graphics and online multiplayer, you may feel nostalgic for the good old days of retro Nintendo games. Instead of searching online and in stores for decades-old retro gaming systems, HYPERKIN has you covered with a wide variety of systems that support traditional Nintendo game cartridges.
The RetroN 1 HD is designed after the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and allows you to play NSTC and PAL NES game cartridges. The included controller is also designed after the classic NES controller, which you can use with the RetroN 1. Connect to a modern TV with the included HDMI cable for up to 720p gameplay and, if you’re really feeling nostalgic, you can switch the aspect ratio from the modern 16:9 to the old-school 4:3.
If you’re more of a Super Nintendo fan, the SupaRetroN HD is for you. You can play NTSC and PAL SNES game cartridges, as well as SFC game cartridges. Two controllers, modeled after the traditional SNES controllers, are included with the SupaRetroN HD. Like the HD in its name suggests, you can play SNES games in 720p via the included HDMI cable. You can also switch the aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 if you want the full Super Nintendo experience.
While the SupaRetroN is great for the home, the SupaBoy S lets you play SNES games on the go. Shaped like a classic SNES controller, the SupaBoy S can play NSTC and PAL SNES and SFC game cartridges on its 4.3" LCD screen. It also has two front ports for connecting classic SNES controllers, while the AV port allows you to output to a TV. The built-in rechargeable battery can last up to 10 hours.
Want to play NES and SNES games, and more? The RetronN 5 supports game cartridges from multiple retro gaming consoles, such as Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Famicom, Super Famicom, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Genesis, and Mega Drive. It also features several enhancements, such as resolution up-scaling, audio interpolation, screenshot capture, on-the-fly saves, as well as built-in cheats. The controller doesn’t quite have the same retro feel as the other gaming consoles, but that’s because it must support inputs for multiple systems. However, it is wireless, thanks to Bluetooth support.
The Smartboy lets you use your Android smartphone to play retro NTSC and PAL Game Boy and Game Boy Color game cartridges. Connected through a USB Type-C connector, the Smartboy is bus-powered. Simply insert your compatible Android phone and game cartridge and play with the classic Game Boy controller layout. The Smartboy isn’t just limited to Game Boy games. You can use it for other apps and games from the Google Play app store.
