The new Bose™ soundbars are here, and they’ve brought Alexa with them. At 31.5" wide, the black Soundbar™ 500 would be a good visual match for displays up to about 37", and features Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity, in addition to an HDMI eARC and optical input. Its bigger brother, the Soundbar 700, is available in black or white and would pair well with displays up to about 45", thanks to its 38.5" width.
Both soundbars feature voice control capability, powered by Amazon Alexa, enabling you to search for what you want through your music apps as well as control playback, volume, and more, all by simply asking Alexa; a built-in light bar indicates visually whether Alexa is listening, thinking, or speaking. PhaseGuide technology, which is built into the Soundbar 700, directs beams of multi-directional sound around your room to help provide a broader soundstage.
To further broaden your soundstage, you can add the Wireless Surround Speakers to either the Soundbar 500, Soundbar 700, or the SoundTouch 300. The Wireless Surround Speakers, offered in either Bose black or arctic white, can be placed up to 30' away from the soundbar, allowing you to place them in the back of the room to provide sound effects for your TV shows, movies, and sports.
You’ll want to make sure you have enough bass to fill this wide soundstage, and the Bass Module 700 will help with that. Also available in either Bose black or arctic white, this subwoofer can pair to the Soundbar 700 wirelessly or via an optional 1/8" cable.
