Aputure has added the LS 600x Pro, a 600W bi-color LED, to its popular Light Storm lineup and the 59" Light Dome 150 circular softbox to its modifier collection. Together, the duo make for enticing options for professional photographers and videographers looking to produce a serious amount of flattering light.
The LS 600x Pro adds 2700-6500K variable CCT to Aputure’s most powerful point-source light series. Precision color-blending and CRI/TLCI ratings >96 mean you can create natural-looking light to illuminate a scene or match environmental sources with ease. When maximum output is needed, the LS 600x Pro can produce 18,510 lux at 3m when used with the separately available F10 Fresnel. The new light can easily replace small HMIs on set while only using 720W of power.
For those familiar with Aputure’s LS 600d Pro, the new light uses the same design and control box interface for easy setup and usage. Likewise, it maintains Bowens-mount compatibility, so you have access to a wide range of modifiers to shape its output exactly as needed. For location work, battery power can be supplied via V-Mount, Gold Mount, or Block batteries via its multi-voltage battery plates or by using a 48V 3-Pin XLR input. A weather-resistant design encourages outdoor use without worry of damage from light rain or dust.
Finally, the LS 600x Pro incorporates an advanced LCD, Sidus Link App Control, LumenRadio Wireless DMX, and Ethernet control, making it an extremely adaptable unit no matter what it is called upon to do.
The Light Dome 150 serves as the largest circular softbox Aputure has created to date and a perfect complement to the LS 600 series of LEDs. With a 59" diameter and 31.5" depth, it is capable of producing soft, wrapping light and pleasing catchlights for individuals or groups. Like other Aputure softboxes, the Light Dome 150 features a Bowens-mount for wide compatibility and a quick-setup design, saving time and headaches on set. Depending on your lighting needs, 1.5-stop and 2.5-stop front diffusion are available as well as a 45-degree fabric grid for precisely controlling falloff. A carrying bag is included for safe and easy transport and storage.
