Godox Announces AD600Pro II All-in-One Outdoor Strobe

Godox announces the long-awaited second generation of its flagship outdoor strobe, the AD600Pro II, an all-in-one lighting solution whose 600Ws power output sees improvements in flash duration, output range, and design and control functions. The strobe's user experience has also been upscaled to incorporate One-Tap Sync with Godox's new X3 Trigger along with a new color-optimized screen, a 40W bi-color modeling light, and an improved group identification indicator.

As Godox's most powerful outdoor strobe, the new AD600Pro II brings a host of improvements in speed and runtime to match its ten-step, 600Ws output. Recycle times are as low as .01s and flash durations are as short as 1/11760s in regular mode. The strobe is also primed for action, supporting High-Speed Sync at up to 1/8000s and featuring a Freeze Mode with ultra-short flash durations of up to 1/20400s. Output is now fine-tunable in ten steps up to 1/512, and the lithium battery pack is rated for 360 full-power flashes on a full charge. The AD600Pro II also allows the user to run the light on AC power with an optional adapter.

The AD600Pro II is optimized to work with Godox's X3 Touchscreen TTL Wireless Flash Trigger, whose One-Tap Sync feature allows for near-instant synchronization and reduced startup times on set. The strobe is also compatible with older Godox triggers like the XproII and X2T.

The strobe's screen and menu system has been redesigned with the help of user feedback to maximize ease of use. A new easy-to-read, upgraded TFT LCD screen boasts vibrant colors that allow for Godox's new RGB Color Identification system that assigns each of the 16 supported groups its own color that displays locally on the flash head for easy identification, even at a distance. The screen also has easily accessible on/off and modeling light buttons that control their respective functions with a single touch.

Another upgrade is the 40Ws bi-color modeling light, which allows the unit to function as a video light in addition to allowing photographers to previsualize the light before firing the flash.

Built to seamlessly integrate with the Godox 2.4G Wireless System, the light boasts a wide compatibility with TTL auto flash systems across multiple camera brands, including Canon E-TTLII, Nikon i-TTL, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, FUJIFILM, Pentax, and Leica. The Godox system also includes a wide range of accessories available separately that boost the functionality and flexibility of the lights, such as an extension head with a 6.6' wire, the AC power adapter, and the USB battery smart charger.

Have they fixed the battery issue that plagued this and the 400 models? I have always wanted to upgrade my 300's which I absolutely love, but it seems like a battery problem was almost guaranteed with both models.
