Godox continues to pack more power into smaller packages with the new KNOWLED M300R RGBWW LED Monolight, available as a standalone light kit or with a carry bag. The M300R is a 300W fixture capable of an impressive 101,000 lux at 3.3' with the included BR30 reflector. Flexible control options, power options, and a wide color temperature range of 1800 to 10,000K are just some of the ways the M300R is thoughtfully designed for studio and on-location use.
Though technically a 300W fixture, the M300R has an output level more akin to a 400-600W light. Both the fixture and the controller box are IP54-rated, giving you peace of mind when using the light outdoors. Aiding in this flexibility is its relatively low 7.93 lb weight (without the yoke), durable magnesium-aluminum alloy housing, and the ability to use either AC power or V-mount batteries. The M300R also has a standard Bowens Mount to ensure compatibility with a massive range of accessories.
So what’s inside the M300R? We have six different modes—CCT, HSI, RGBW, GEL, X-Y, and FX—which should cover just about any shooting scenario. There are four dimming curves: linear, S-curve, exponential, and logarithmic; and the M300R can be controlled with onboard dials, DMX, CRMX, the KNOWLED smartphone app, or Ethernet. The rest of the specs are also uniformly impressive, with a CRI of 96, TLCI of 95, 0.1% dimming adjustments, and -100% to 100% green/magenta shift adjustments.
Whether you’re working in film and TV or corporate and social video production, the M300R can pack a punch at an approachable price point.
