Most podcasters know that while USB mics offer a ton of convenience, they come with one limitation: You can only record with one at a time. Recognizing this limitation, Zoom is announcing a new solution for podcasters—the PodTrak P2.
The PodTrak P2 is a dual-USB mic recorder that can record your two USB mics anywhere. You can record directly to SD cards with up to 1 TB of capacity. The recorder can also be used as an audio interface, supporting USB connections to computers and smart devices. Perfect for call ins, the PodTrak P2 features built-in mix-minus functionality to automatically eliminate echo and feedback during a call in, so your guest sounds like they’re right next door.
With integrated AI noise reduction technology, the P2 works brilliantly during both conversations and quiet segments, reducing background noise so that your voice is always front and center. When you connect to your phone, you can record pro-quality audio directly into your phone’s video without any extra editing, a useful feature for those looking to produce quality content on a budget.

The P2 supports modern streaming workflows and is designed to let you go live with confidence. Stream to your smartphone or computer whilst simultaneously securing your production with a secure backup of your stream to SD card. When connected to a device via USB, the PodTrack P2 acts as a 2-in/2-out audio interface.
Once you’re producing your podcast, the P2 provides users with studio-style features for broadcast-quality podcasts, no postproduction needed. With Tone, you can get the perfect podcast voice with EQ and de-essing. The Compressor lets you make your podcasts sound crisp, clear, and consistent by reducing dynamic range and boosting volume for a polished sound.

When you’re not speaking, you can mute your microphone to eliminate unwanted noises in your room. With dedicated mic volume knobs and easy-to-see level meters, you can dial in the perfect mix for your podcast without touching it in post.
If you should find yourself without power outlets, fear not! The PodTrak P2 offers up to four hours of continuous operation on four AA batteries. The P2 also supports power via USB, letting you use USB power banks, bus power from computers, or USB AC adapters for power (sold separately).

Other notable features include a Quick Mix function for instantly sharing a stereo mix of your work, recording sample rates up to 24-bit / 48 kHz when recording up to four tracks, audio notifications that indicate low battery, low recording space, or other errors through the headphone outputs, and an auto-save function that saves your work every 10 seconds, protecting your recordings from a sudden power loss.
