Arturia is giving the well-known MiniFreak synthesizer a big brother the newly announced Arturia MiniFreak 49. The new synth adds features like a full-sized semi-weighted keybed with mono aftertouch, FM modulation and analog filter cutoff, voice panning, and an XYZ touch matrix for modulation, browsing, and sound control using live color-coded visual feedback.
The MiniFreak 49 carries over the architecture of the original with two digital synth engines, six voice polyphony and more than thirty oscillator modes from virtual analog to granular synthesis, along with two LFOs with selectable waveforms and shape editing, a sequencer/arpeggiator with four modulation tracks, ratchets, and repeats, and three FX slots with thirteen different algorithms to experiment and explore an endless number of sound palates and soundscapes with.
The synthesizer comes with the updated MiniFreak V companion software, allowing full DAW integration, preset management, and control of the plugin from the synthesizer itself.
