Allen & Heath is expanding the highly regarded Qu series of professional digital audio mixers with the new Qu-3 and Qu-3D, now in a compact desktop format and packed with multiple hardware and design improvements. The new compact design makes the Qu-3 perfect for desktop use in AV, conference, broadcasting, and studio situations, but the mixer is powerful and flexible enough to be used in a wide variety of applications.
The Qu-3 and Qu-3D come standard with the new supercharged 96 kHz XCVI core for DEEP Processing capabilities, an impressive channel count (36-in / 24-out) with flexible patching across six customizable layers, a built-in Automatic Mic Mixer, and a redesigned user interface with a 7" 1000-nit touchscreen. The "D" version, much like the rest of the D lineup, includes a built-in 16x16 48/96 kHz Dante port for interoperability with Dante-enabled equipment.
Despite their smaller form factor, full control over the mix will still be at your fingertips with 9 100mm motorized faders, 6 channel strip layers, 8 assignable softkeys, footswitch connection, and remote control via a free app that runs on Windows/Mac and iOS/Android. They are also rack mountable on a 19" rack with the optional rack ear kit.
Both models come with a 128x128 Slink port that can be connected to the Everything I/O ecosystem of expanders, including existing dSnake expanders, A&H's current expanders, as well as Allen & Heath I/O Expanders that are planned to be released in the future. If you're looking for a top-of-the-line digital mixer and need a compact form factor, the new Qu-3 and Qu-3D might be the perfect choice!
