Shure Updates its Wireless System With the SLX-D+ Family

Shure has announced its new SLX-D+ digital wireless system, a powerful solution to mid-tier wireless applications such as live performances, presentations, education, theater sound, and event production.

The SLX-D+ system features expanded support for frequency bands. It’s now selectable up to a range of 138 MHz (depending on your region) and offers 24-bit digital audio quality with up to 11 channels for 6 MHz and 14 for 8MHz bands. It also introduces new features like patented digital feedback reduction DSP, encryption, and ShowLink Ease, allowing for transmitter parameters to be controlled remotely over the air.

The SLX-D+ system has a wide variety of available wireless components and can be tailored to your specific needs and scale, offering eighteen different standard configurations that include single, dual, and quad channel receivers, handheld mics, bodypack and plug-on transmitters, and a bevy of optional accessories such as docking chargers, power distribution systems, antennas, and protective sleeves.

The Shure SLX-D+ system is a definite upgrade over its predecessors, but like with any wireless system, make sure that the region you’re working in will allow you to use it properly and effectively before cutting the check.
